Cinder Cliffs: Frederick

FREDERICK'S POV

"Hello, Margaret!" I say. I've just poked my head into her tree, and she looks quite irritated. Her brows are furrowed and her teeth are clenched.
"What are you doing here?" Margaret snaps. I flinch. She's like a fireball when she gets angry.
I giggle and pull myself up to sit across from her. She groans. "This is supposed to be my private place!" she said, shrilly. I adjust myself.
"I was looking for you," I say. "Ryia is climbing Cinder Cli-"
She interrupts me. "I know! I was watching her from here!" she yells. "Well, at least before YOU interrupted me."
Taken aback, I exclaim, "Sorry! I was just trying to share some news with a friend." Margaret sighs and ignores me, sticking her head out of the treetop again. I grunt and leap down from the tree. Landing on the ground with a thud, I decide to go tell Peter. He probably won't be rude. I limp towards his house.
When I reach Peter's room, sounds of a swordfight ring out from inside it. I knock, loudly. Maybe he'll stop playing with Ani long enough to listen to his friend. The sounds pause and Ani opens the door.
I don't see Peter anywhere until the knight statue in the corner moves. It takes me a second to realize it wasn't a statue at all, but Peter. He looks ridiculous, dressed up like that. I take a deep breath and shout, "Margaret's in a tree again!"
He sighs. "Why is Margaret in a tree?"
I'm not able to suppress a laugh when I look at his armor. Clearing my throat, I answer. "She's trying to spy on Ryia."
"What is Ryia doing?"
"Rescuing a stranded kitten." I say. He isn't surprised. Rescuing someone or something is not unlike Ryia.
"From where?" Peter asks.
"Cinder Cliffs..." I tell him. I bite my lip. He's going to be mad.
Sure enough, he explodes. "Cinder Cliffs? I knew she was selfless, but- but Cinder Cliffs is just dangerous!"
I nod. "I know!" All of a sudden, I get a great idea. Margaret was watching Ryia, so why couldn't we? "Want to watch her?"
Peter goes crazy again. "Are you kidding? She's in huge danger, Fred, and all you want to do is spectate? That's unbelievable... just unbelievable!"
I beckon for Peter to follow me and we head outside. I reach the tree where Margaret is. She pokes her head out.
Fred gapes. "Margaret, get down from there right now." he demands, tapping his foot on the ground. He sounds so authoritative! He should be a king rather than a knight.
Margaret grins. "You can't boss me around, Peter!" she calls, then pulls her head back in the tree. Peter makes a move to climb up there, but I notice something on the cliffs. I gasp.
"What?" asks Peter. I point to Ryia as she struggles to put something in a bag.
Peter's eyes grow wide. "Ryia!" he shouts. Then he takes off towards the cliffs. Margaret soon descends the tree trunk and follows. I watch as Peter ducks through the crowd and stands at the base of Cinder Cliffs. It seems as if he's trying to climb it.
Gasps from the crowd draw my attention to Ryia. She's no longer trying to put something in a bag anymore. Instead, she's falling. I squeeze my eyes shut and groan. What else could possibly go wrong?
