Song of the Ocean
I am the ocean and I must speak on my behalfJust listen closely, and please do not laugh
This is a serious matter we must talk about today
For it is for your crimes that I'm having to pay
Look at all the trouble you've caused for the animals here
Now they have nothing but their own home to fear
The oil spills, the over-fishing, murdering the sharks
Why do you not treat the ocean like one of your clean parks?
My animals are dying, and it's all your fault
My waters are polluted, once made of pure salt
The oil spills come too fast, way too often
The salmon are prematurely heading to their coffin
Why all the over-fishing, have you nothing better to do?
The predators are crying, "Where's our food going to?"
My lovely inhabitants, my precious animals
They're all disappearing, because of you cannibals
Plastic bags, empty water bottle, scrap papers, oh my!
Why all this litter just floating by?
Wait, what's that I see? Is it a dolphin on the sand?
And around its neck, there's some sort of band
The dolphin is dying, laying there on the ground
Because of that band, it makes not a single sound
And there, it's an orca, but is it alright?
Of course not, he's nearly dying of fright!
There's one of your kind nearby, ready to kill
For blubber and fat - it just makes me ill
A turtle, it's swimming, but swimming through muck
Because of your oil spills, it has horrible luck
The once green turtle has now turned black
And soon enough, it's her eyesight she will lack
Oh no, there's a shark caught in a net!
You humans will cut off his fins, I bet
The shark falls back into my waters with a splash
But all the poor thing can do is lash
He's bleeding too much, and he can swim no more
Why are you creatures so obsessed with gore?
I can't take it anymore, no, not at all!
Watching my animals, one by one, fall
You think they are the monsters, but in fact, they're not
You're the ones who are monsters, stealing all they've got
Shelter, food, friends and family too
Yet up there, in your world, all you do is coo
Our oxygen is fading, and what about yours?
Without the ocean, in bad chemicals pour
Your world will grow weary and sick, just like ours
Time is running out, how fast fly the hours!
What can we do? Why, absolutely nothing!
Right now, you might say, that we are bluffing
But no, we are not, it's as plain as the dawn
Because, by then, our world will already be gone
I have no more song, nothing to sing
Except of all the chaos you humans bring
So if this doesn't stop, or come to an end
You'll leave me alone, without a single friend

Yeah, we don't even realize what we're doing the poor ocean.

HATE SHRIMP
HOW DO YOU HATE SHRIMP
I didn't know you were a poet!
XD Whaaaat?
Yeesh, Kath.
Yes you are. It's very plain to see. @Queen_of_Narnia
Thanks!
Do you really mean it?
I'm not...
I really don't deserve praise though.
You do!
See, you are a great writer!
Yes, that's all true. @tylnapp
Many things are seen differently...it is all merely perspective on many subjects...what's good or bad, what may be perceived as right or wrong... You have Earth's (Or mother nature's) perspective on humans...though it is a perspective on another perspective..interesting...
No, I don't.
Nonsense! You are an amazing writer! @tylnapp
You deserve praise. It is well written.
I do not deserve praise, I am quite the horrible writer.
Is it okay?
^_^
Well, it's not PERFECT...but thank-you!
I feel like I'm missing something... *Internally screaming*
*huggles* Anytime!
Nope! Perfect!
Even my parents are saying it's deep!
Phew. That's a BIG relief!
*Huggles* Thank-you.
Do you suggest anything I need to work on?
IT'S AMAZING!
Thanks!
You really think so?
It's not childish or anything?
A lot of people at my school said it's really deep XD
TOTALLY!
