Goodbye Zach!

I started up a group chat on my break from washing my dad's car.

Lindsay: what r u doing
Jerome: washing dishes
Zach: mowing the lawn
Lindsay: cleaning a car
Jerome: gtg bye
Zach: cya
Lindsay: bai

I sighed as the water bucket I was using tipped over and spilled all over my shoes. "Urgh!" I thought. Late that day, a horrible thought came to mind. Zach was moving the next day. I was about to turn on my TV when there was a knock on the door. My mom got it. "LINDSAY! IT'S FOR YOU!" She called out. I trudged downstairs and saw who it was. "Oh my gosh! Hi Zach!" I exclaimed. "I'm moving tomorrow and I wanted to give this to you." He handed me a small envelope. I smiled for a moment. "Bye Zach." I whispered. He kissed me quickly and backed away. "Bye Lindsay." Then he was gone. I opened the envelope in which there was a small card.

Dear Lindsay,

Thanks so much for being such a great friend. You where the first person to talk to me, alone notice me! Now I have many friends. Jerome, Dawn, Bryan, Autumn, Silver, Anastasia and Angelo... And you. I'm going to miss you alot because good friends are hard to get, harder to leave, and impossible to forget. Bye Lindsay.

I clutched the card and slipped it back in its envelope. "I'll miss you to Zach." I whispered to myself. I went back to my room quietly. That's all there was to it.

AUTUMN'S POV

"How could you make such bad friends!" My dad screamed. I backed up onto the stairs. "Dad! They where protecting my other friend! Stop it!" I whispered hoarsely. "DON'T YOU ANSWER BACK TO ME!" My dad shouted. He walked to the kitchen with an empty bottle in his hand. "DAD!" I yelled. He growled and smashed the bottle against the granite counter. Shards fell everywhere. "Clean the mess will you!" He grumbled as he walked to his room. I knelt down and picked up each shard being careful not to get cut. I let out a small sob. I ran upstairs to my room and grabbed my phone.

Autumn: hey
Silver: hey!
Autumn: :(
Silver: why are u sad?
Autumn: my dad again
Silver: aw Don't be upset!
Autumn: i can't take it anymore!
Silver: hey, your still my bff!
Autumn: thanks :)
Silver: besides, that guy u went to the dance /w really seemed to like you!
Autumn: you think?
Silver: ya!
Autumn: :D
