CHRISTMAS!
What's the first thing that comes to your mind when someone says the word Christmas? Maybe presents, Santa, tree, lights or food. Well this is the REAL meaning of Christmas, which most of you probably know…2014 years ago a fourteen year old girl named Mary was sitting by herself. Suddenly, an angel appeared in front of her. Mary was terrified, and backed away from the glowing light. However, the angel spoke to her and said "I am the angel Gabriel. Do not be afraid of me. You are to bear a son, and you shall call him Jesus. He will be the son of the Most High, Lord of all. He will be the saviour of the world." Mary was still afraid, but as she loved God, she said, "I am the handmaiden of the Lord. Let what you said be done to me." She turned, but the angel was gone.
Now, Mary was engaged to a carpenter called Joseph. She was so excited by the news, she ran to wake him. Unfortunately, Joseph was not impressed. He did not believe Mary, and decided to call off the engagement. Mary was devastated. She went and prayed.
Okay, let's skip some so they have to go to Bethlehem, Joseph marries her, she gives birth in a stable, some shepherds and wise men come to see the baby. THE END.
