Party of the century

Party of the century My eyes flicker open, the gloomy skies shone through my open window. As I begin to remember the night before, I feel lik it was all a dream. I slip out of bed going through the events of last night and head to my closet. I pull on a black mini dress with matching platform heels and a bow. I tie my hair up into a messy bun and clipping the bow in place.

I do my make up carefully and as I am about to leave there is a tap on my door. It's feeble and weak nothing like any of the guests knock. I swiftly walk over to the door and pull it open to find Logan. He stands there with a white shirt on that he has left open to reveal his glorious abs. He's also wearing black jeans and a beanie. He leans against the doorframe casually making him look quite sexy. For a human.

"Can I help you?" I ask, grabbing my purse.

"Well seen as none of us have cell service here I thought we could have some fun." He tells me, as I leave the room closing the door.

"Okay. Follow me." I say quietly.

We get back down to the foyer and we sneak through the kitchen where Madame Boulaire is cooking. I open the door to the ground and we run out. I'm not allowed to leave the grounds of the house because it's too dangerous. However I am allowed out here.

We walk down the stone pathway until it finishes then he follows me through the overgrown grassy fields. I continue to walk until I see the old cherry blossom tree. The grass cuts back and a lone ruined head stone sits underneath the tree where cherry blossom petal have fallen.

"What is this place?"  Logan asks mesmerised.

"This is my mother's grave." I say kneeling down in front of the headstone.

"You didn't need to bring me here Raven." He tells me, sitting down beside me.

"You deserve to know if you are going to be my friend." I say, glancing up at the tree.

"Do you want to tell me what happened to her?" He asks, nervously, not wanting to upset me.

"You're very lucky my father didn't kill you all last night. It was your kind that killed my mother she did nothing but step outside and they killed her. I saw everything, that's why I'm not allowed to leave the grounds." I tell him, remembering the day my mother died.

"I'm so sorry Raven but people aren't like that now, they're very welcoming." He says, trying to reassure me.

"Yeah well just make the most of your time here, you may not be here very long." I say standing up.

When we get back to the house yet another party is taking place. This time nothing is going to ruin it. It must be a special occasion as my father has got the best alcohol out. We make our way through the crowds of monsters and Logan spots his friends and wanders off. I see my father dancing around and I quickly walk over to him.

"What's the occasion?" I ask, as I see how happy he is.

"I'm getting married." He yells, before dancing again.

Im in shock, I didn't think anyone could ever replace my mother. I was wrong. Far from right. As the tears begin to fill my eyes I know the only thing to do is get out of here. Rushing through the sea of party goers i dash up the stairs, as I pass the table of drinks I grab a bottle of the finest alcohol we have.

I make it as far as the second flight of stairs before collapsing in a heap. Knowing nobody is here I let the tears fall. Drinking my sorrows away seems like the best option. Tears streak my face but I don't care, I thought my mother meant the world to my father, obviously not. The thing that really made me upset was how happy he was. I don't understand it.

"Raven you should be enjoying the party not drinking in a stairwell." I hear someone say.

I look up and see Logan, he gives me a comforting smile.

"Right now I couldn't care less about the party." I say as he joins me on the stairs.

"I get it if you don't want to tell me what's up b it might help." He says, turning to face me.

"My father is getting married. He seems so happy even though he always said mother was the only one for him." I say, thinking about my father's face and how happy he was.

"If it makes you feel any better a similar thing happened with my parents. It does get better though." Logan says, taking the bottle from my hands.

He takes a drink and then passes me it back. He smiles at me and tucks a loose strand of hair behind my ear. I lean toward him and kiss him gently. Our lips locking together, he's so warm and delicate. I brush a hand through his black hair and I can feel his warmth spreading through me.

"What are you doing here?" I hear my father's voice say.

I pull away from Logan quickly and jump up. My father glares at us and then grabs my arm. He holds me tightly     as if he is never letting go.

"Right Logan, I was kind enough to give you and your friends hospitality, but you have broken a boundary. My daughter is not for human hands. She has her marriage planned and you shall not ruin that." He says to Logan, before turning to me. "As for you young lady, you shall not leave the dungeon until I say so okay."

Before I can say anything I am dragged off to the dungeon. I think about screaming but it wouldn't change anything. Dropping the bottle on the way down the stairs I hear the smash echoing through the stairs.

Then I am thrown into a cell in the dungeon, my father locks the door and leaves me to slump down against the cold stone wall. I have so many unanswered questions. Why did I kiss Logan? Do I like him? What did my father mean I have a marriage planned? Why am I in the dungeon now?

I guess some things just aren't meant to be. Like me seeing Logan again.
