Chapter 6
(Chapter made by sapphy ^~^)Negro’s P.O.V
Lili blushed before turning away from my gaze.
“I’d like to go home now, please.”
“Home?” I questioned bluntly. “Why? I thought you liked it here. I thought you wanted to be with me. I though-“
“Negro.” Lili interrupted me with a swift giggle. “I just want to tell my family that I’m…not going to be around for much longer.” I frowned. By seeing her family she could easily decide she doesn’t want to be with me and stay at home…why would that be such a troublesome matter? It’s not like I love her. I don’t love her.
“Of course.” I reply before taking her hand in mine. A perfect fit. “Let’s go.”

Whist waiting for Lili, I had decided to go straighten out my living space. I cleaned the floors and polished my desk. I’d never cleaned before. Why did I need to do this? I’d never cleaned before, so why now? Was it because Lili was coming? Why did she have such a hold over me? I’d never felt anything like this since Surge- No. This was something more.
Deciding that I couldn’t wait to see her anymore, I teleport to where I had left her last. In the forest near where her home was, discreet and dark. I heard a short sniffling coming from my left. Thinking the worst, I teleport over to see Lili hunched over a tree stump weeping into her arm.
“Lili?” I question raising an eyebrow. She turned towards me, her tears stained into her fur.
“My mum...she...” I sat down next to her on the stump.
“Tell me what happened.”

Her mother and father had been kicked out of their house. They were forced to live with barely any life essentials and due to the some from the factories, mothers had inherited a form of cancer. I didn’t know what to say. I wasn’t good with emotions, that was more of Surge’s area. So I did the only thing I was good at. My job. I took out my list and looked for Lili’s mother’s name. It wasn’t on there.
“Your mother isn’t on my list. That’s means she will survive her cancer. Most likely due to being able to find a house in some place that isn’t over run with-” I was cut off by Lili wrapping her arms around me.
“Thank you.” She cried into my shoulder. “Thank you so much.” I hesitated before gently placing my hand on her back.
“It’s..alright...”
“Please, let me stay with you. I’ve said my goodbyes.”
“I can do more than that.” I smash my lips onto hers. This is what mortals do when they appreciate the other, correct? It must be as she didn’t oppose. This must have been like to live like a mortal...I want to learn more.
