Loss and Fire
Drax awoke sweaty and scared, he had just suffered the same nightmare he had since he was 5 years old.It was a dream of how he lost his mum, Drax was sitting on the floor reading a book when he heard a knock at the door. His mother opened the door only to see at least 20 Cobra's. ( Cobra's is the name of the warriors in the Cobra camp) They all where holding torches a few in the back had arrows aimed at Drax's mother. She stuttered w-what do you ww-want? You are under arrest by the Cobra's for theft of money. Drax even though he was little knew that his mother had worked hard to make enough money for them to live comfortably and that she would never steal. She said to the Cobra's "I ddd-don't know what yy-your talking about." A very tall one toward the front answered "If you don't come with us now we will burn you house to the ground. Drax ran up to the Cobra and said "She didn't do it leave her alone!
The Cobra looked down at him and said "How would you know what your mother has and hasn't done your only a kid." His mother spoke up and said, "I'm not coming I have a fatherless son who would be orphaned if I was taken away." The Cobras hearing let their arrows loose and dropped their torches on the little straw roofed house. His mother dying from the arrows in her chest pushed Drax out the door as the house burn down in flames. On of the Cobras caught him by the wrist and said, you'll come with us you mother deserved death for the extreme amounts of money she stole. How would you like to be a Cobra boy?" The Drax woke up and thought of what had happened after that.
Drax had been taught his entire life the punishments the Cobras dealt were deserved by the people and that the Cobras where in the right till one night a few weeks ago he heard the Cobra who had taken him in to the camp when he was little say "half of what we take if from the innocent but it doesn't matter as long as you can frame them with a believable crime. At least that's what you'll get to do when I make you captain." That night Drax left the camp he couldn't believe he had hurt so many innocent people for crimes they hadn't committed.
