The way it seems.
They stopped at a beach the sun was glazing the water, it was beautiful.... Josh couldn't help but periodically look at Wendy, the sun brightened her features. She seemed like a goddess. the only problem was as they sat together looking at the ocean it was awkwardly quiet."so is this like a date?" Wendy asked.
"a date, huh? wh-"
"if it is, then I like you too."
"It is then."
Wendy and Josh have been friends since they were little so it didn't feel any different for them, nothing in their hearts changed, they were just...Them..
Wendy slid her hand into Josh's and squeezed it "I've been waiting for this moment Josh." she whispered looking at the shining sunset.
Josh couldn't help but blush "Yea, me too."
Wendy let go of his hand and hugged him for what seemed like an hour then she kissed his cheek. "Let's get home."
Josh nodded and got on his bike, so did Wendy. Wendy rushed off, and Josh did the same, but Wendy was more athletic then Josh so she was ahead of him, by a lot. That's when it happened.
A speeding Mustang ran right into Wendy.. Bones aren't supposed to move how they did but they did, imagine, seeing your left hand go inside out, with a cracking sound.
Josh ran to Wendy and tears streamed his face. "We just....NO.. Stay alive Wendy, Stay alive for me, Stay alive!" he yelled at her..
Wendy groaned but couldn't move.
Josh held onto her "Why God why now, how could this happen?" He said as blood softly slide down her nose onto the concrete with a sickening splash.
The guy in the Mustang rolled out of the car and called the ambulance and tried to explain without having a panic attack.
