There's a monster

(LEONARDO)

It feels like days since leaving my best friend. I feel bad and alone, except for that feeling. The feeling I'm being watched. Every time I turn around, I sometimes see a flash of red, or a sprinkle of gold. I know no-ones there, if there was everybody would be talking about it.

I was starving, I couldn't go on anymore. I thought I was done for until I found a whole tree of mangos above my head. My mouth watered, forcing myself to climb the tree and probably shake down a few mangos. They were so golden, so sweet, and I was so hungry.

My hands stung after climbing, and my arms ached after carrying all that fruit. I began eating a few, but decided to keep some for later. Sometimes I think there's a hungry monster out there who is watching my every move.

When I turned around yawning, I couldn't believe seeing the sun setting already. I pulled out my sleeping, and scanned the area for any place to sleep. Since the ground had been covered in junk, I decided to run through the forest for a little while.

I felt the wind brush my face, it felt so nice to have air flowing wildly through your hair. But that feeling ended when I tripped painfully over some log thing.

I turned back and saw a few touches of yellow. I brushed my hand over the log and felt it was furry. I turned it over and found it was Inferno, not dead but knocked out.

"No!" I shouted loudly, I wondered if the other boys did this. Then I saw a few red furs floating around, realising no other boys had red fur. There really is a monster wondering around this forest.

I decided to run as far away from Inferno, for it was forbidden to work together. I laid my sleeping bag across the mossy flooring, slid I to it and tried to think about everything that has been happening to me.

That monster... Why is it stalking me? Why isn't it stalking any other boys? If I was someone special, than I wish I wasn't. I want to live a life normal, not a life where I'm being chased my some red thing.

When I woke from haunting dreams, I couldn't be bothered getting up, I didn't want to leave the warmth. But I had to get away from the monster.

When I finally got myself to walk away, I yawned quietly. I didn't know if it was just my spears, but I heard a voice. A girls voice.

"Shut up Neon!" It yelled. "That Leonardo kid would be our feast, you know it!"

Me? A FEAST!?!?!? I had no idea. I was just too confused to listen for more. I ran, sprinted, ran away. I never wanted to here that voice again.
