A Turn for the Worst
We followed her through the mudroom door and walked into an amazing commons area. I stared at it, it was decked with the newest things and had an up to date video station. I stood looking at all the people, and saw that some of them were using their powers, not against any rules, but still it seems weird to do magic so open. Tessa looked at me and smiled an apologetic smile, I guess it's no secret that I was sort of hidden from the world, or more like the world was hidden from me to protect it from me. I got stares, everyone heard about Reka, but I doubt that they knew what she looked like. I mean, I doubt that the school emailed everyone in the school a picture of Reka and said 'new girl! Let's be civil and nice!' I giggled at my own thoughts and I got stares from Kihon and Kurumi. Tessa just looked unfazed, her purple hair mixture was swinging in a high ponytail. I saw that she was changed into a different outfit than the school one, one that showed off a little more skin. Her top was low cut and barely reached her belly button, which was pierced. And her shorts rode halfway up her ass and they were low riding and hung low on her hips. Come on, I want a change of clothes now, maybe ones a little more fashionable, but I didn't really care."Here, if we're going to party, we need to get you all out of those ugly outfits. Uh they're like sore thumbs." Tessa said walking to the end of the commons and walking down a hallway. I realized that everyone I saw weren't wearing their uniforms and I wondered how they did that so fast. Was there a train that I didn't know about? I looked at her and wondered if she even had clothes that were in my size, I was shorter than her, but I had a bigger bust. And duh, my legs are shorter than hers. I looked at Kurumi, I did have about the same leg size, but again, my boobs are bigger than hers. I watched as Kurumi pulled out a card, almost the same ones that are used in class deciding, but it was completely gold and a lot smaller.
"What is that?" I asked pointing at the card in Kurumis hand. They gave me a look and a moment later a look of understanding passed Tessa's face.
"Did you just get here today?" She asked looking at me in the eyes. Her eyes were a pretty dark blue, but they had hints of purple and green in them. I nodded at her looking a little dumbstruck. She smiled again and pulled out a card the exact same as Kurumis.
"These are cards we get when we first get here. Normally they're shipped here a day after we get here, so it's no wonder that you don't know what they are. They transport you anywhere you want, at least in the city. You probably didn't have time to read the manual either, you might want to. Don't want to break any rules, at least if you care about that stuff. They're really really lax on the rules and don't really give a shit about anything we do. Although, since you are you, they might be a little more stickler around you." She said. "Here use mine to go to your room, just think of your room and stick it on the door. Just come back with something cute." She winked at me and I smiled at her. It seems that she wasn't too bad, or that she was just faking for me and the reason these two hate her so much is that they both got played by her just like she might be thinking that she's playing me. I watched as Kurumi walked through her door, and Kihon pulled his card out and did a salute. I giggled a bit and looked at Tessa, and her gaze was as cold as ice. He slammed the door shut behind him and I jumped, I was in my own thoughts and didn't see him walk through the door, much less close the door. I listened as I heard Tessa turn to me. I turned to stare at her and I took a step back as her eyes started to glow.
"Holy shit!" I said pulling the card to the door. I tried to think of my place, but I just couldn't think of anything other than what this girl was thinking. I mean, what's the point of trying to scare me? Apparently I'm some kind of bad ass here.
"So you are able to be scared. That's good. This is all we have to say Aya. Back off, your friends might be happy and all nice to you, but your friends can be turned. They just met you. We know what you've done, go back into hiding and we'll stop hunting you. Your powers seemed to be mostly dormant in submission so just go back. No one else has to be hurt. And if you don't, we will kill you. You may not know who we are, but we sure as hell know who you are." She said, giving me a look of a winner, and of a hunter. I looked at her and wondered where I went wrong on judging her. Now I know why no one seems to like her. I narrowed my eyes at her and gave her a look of pure hatred. These people have been hunting me all my life for something I can't control. Now, I can't even go to a school for freaks without looking over my back every time I hear a noise. Screw this slut, I'm going to be me and if she threatens I'll take her and her whole group down.
"Oh, really? Your threatening me?" I saw the look of fear quickly cross her face, and I leaned in to whisper in her ear. "I can do it again, better worry about someone other than me now. Maybe yourself? Don't worry, next time you threaten me, I think it will be the last." With that I quickly opened the door and ran into my room. I closed the door and slid to my knees, and thought, what am I going to do?
