chapter 1
Venus voiletteHis name was phineas ivanof but he changed it when he ran to the circus
His mom,
Milena Marie, was all white and dainty. She was a really pretty woman who aged quickly, mostly wrinkling and hair loss. She had anema and was overall a fragile woman, very underweight. Born into an upper middle class family, her clear beauty led to her being paraded around parties and other such events. Her mental health was rough, hence her being all skin and bones in her later years. Still, she was a refined woman. She never truly worked a job a day in her life and eventually married another upper class man by the name of Hayden Ivanov. Hayden lived an easy life, spoiled quite a lot. He wasn’t too well educated due both to him being spoiled and due to the time he lived. He was round and fairly soft but still masculine. Soon after their marriage, they settled down and had a child out in a mansion nearby a small town of lower class people.
Their child, Phineas Ivanov, went to the nearby boarding school. He wrote poems and wore sweater vests. With the time it was, he was subjected to much abuse. His feminine nature didn’t help either. Home was no sanctuary for him either, because he was abused due to showing feminine characteristics. One day Milena and Hayden took him down to the circus after Phineas’ begging the whole week. Upon seeing such ‘freakish’ people performing, they returned home and went to sleep, upset and disgusted. Knowing it was the last night the circus was in town, Phineas snuck out to watch the last performance. He tailed along with another family into the tent and watched the whole performance. After dark had cloaked the sky he crept home and up into his window and feigned being home the whole night.
That night he changed. Before he was a sad, hopeless boy. 12 years old and tragically misunderstood. But after, he was secretly ecstatic. So many people, so different and yet just the same as him. For years whenever the circus visited in the summer he would keep up the routine of visiting at night.
At the age of 15 he was finally caught. After getting back home his parents walked into his room and punished him. After his mother left the room, his father took it upon himself to truly set it in with spanking.
Once Hayden left the room and Phineas sobbed for roughly an hour, he came to a sudden realization. He didn’t have to take it anymore. No, he would run away to his true home. The circus.
He quickly jumped out his window and ran off to the circus tent, without anything but himself and the clothes on his back. He spoke quickly to the ringleader, who was stubborn but gave in to Phineas’ demands, knowing he could use the extra hand.
Phineas jumped on the train with the performers and, before having the chance to speak with any of them, fell asleep.
Over the next months he proved himself to not only be a helping hand but full of potential to be a performer. Through tough training and dedication he was finally allowed to perform with the contortionists.
Whether by his actions or simply by his nature, he stood out from the crowd. When asked for his name by audience members, Phineas didn’t think and the name “Venus” slipped from his mouth.
Over time the newly-dubbed ‘Venus’ worked on his act. Playing on contortionism, mirroring the mermaids, inventing his own role in a play, all of these things eventually became the pages he held together. His hair grew and as he stayed on his feet he lost his father’s weight and carved muscles. He was becoming quite the looker.
