"Kaito?" I asked.

"Stop talking to this guy, I don't trust him," Cairo whispered into my ear.

"You don't trust me yet you still talk to me, so I would shut my mouth if I were you!" I snapped.

Cairo looked hurt.

Maybe I had gone a little bit too far, but I didn't regret what I had said.

The creature took a closer look at me then gasped and bowed.

"What-why are you doing that?" I demanded.

"We have waited so long for your return Miss Singer," it said, still bowing.

"Um.......you can get up now, I'm not royalty," I said.

"You've been here before?" Cairo asked.

"No," I shook my head.

"Then why did he say: We have waited so long for your return?" Cairo retorted.

"Because you have been here," the creature looked up at me, "a long time ago."

"I-I have?"

I was confused. Since when have I been here? And this guy was making me sound old.......a long time ago. Humph.

"What's your name?" I asked.

The creature grinned his toothy grin.

"I'm Kim," he said, "and who's that strange-looking guy with you?"

"I'm Cairo," Cairo said, sounding offended, "and not to be rude or anything, but Giselle is just like me."

I raised an eyebrow. Oh really? I'm not stuck up and rude like him!

"No she's not," Kim frowned.

My thoughts exactly.

But Kim wasn't finished.

"Look!"

Kim pointed at my face.

I felt it, feeling scared.

"Giselle, turn around," Cairo said slowly.

I turned to face him and he gasped.

"What? What is it?" I was seriously freaking out now.

Cairo pointed to a stream nearby, his eyes never leaving my face.

I ran to the stream and looked at my reflection.

I screamed.
