the find

It’s been a long hard week for me. So many people are looking for me. I don’t know how much more of this I can take. I know it’s wrong to steal but how else am I going to survive this life with no family. I’m about ready to turn myself in when she sees me.
I have to run, but I can’t. I know I’ll get in even more trouble. Then he comes out. I know both of them and their story, but they don’t know me or my story. They look at me then each other.
He puts his hand out to grab me. I back away. She tells him something. “Come here. We don’t want to hurt you. We just want to help you. But in order for us to help you, you have to come with us. Now come on. It’s okay. I promise we won’t hurt you or let anyone hurt you.” He said.
I just looked at him confused in every way. “I don’t want to steal. But I have to. I have no family. I take care of myself. Isn’t that what people do to keep on living?” I said in a low shaky voice.
“No, you should ask for help. You should never take stuff from people because they use the money to take care of their families. Will you let Peeta and I help you? Or do you want to get into even more trouble?” she asked.
I looked at her. Then at him. I shook my head. Peeta extended his arm and I grabbed his hand. I looked up at them. Just as they kissed. “Yuck!!!!!!” I said. They laughed at that. “Where are you going to take me?” I asked. “To our house. It’s freezing out here. You’re going to catch a cold or worse out here.” They said.
