Thunder and Lightning

Knuckles the Echidna

"Thunder... it's getting dark." Lightning said hugging her brother's arm. They spent hours looking for Sky, but she was nowhere to be seen. Lightning started to cry. "Thunder. I'm scare."

"My too." He said. He laid his sister in front of the emerald. "Go to sleep. I'll take the first watch." Thunder said. Lightning yawned and laid down and closed her eyes. Thunder stood in front of his sister and the emerald. "Hey!" A red echidna came running up to them. Thunder got ready to fight. "Calm down. You must be Thunder and Lightning, right?" He said. Thunder nodded. "Nice to meet you. I'm Knuckles."

"So you must be the guardian of the chaos emeralds?" Thunder asked. Knuckles nodded. Knuckles looked at Lightning then back at Thunder. "This must be though for you." He said shaking his head. "What do you mean?" Thunder asked. "Your parents." Knuckles answered. Thunder sat down and put his head in his hands. He tried hard to hold back from crying. Knuckles frowned at him. "Hey, don't fret. At least they're alive."

"Yeah, but we miss them." Thunder said removing his head. Knuckles placed his hand on his shoulder. "I know someone who can help."

"Really? Who?" Thunder asked. "His name is King Sonic of Mobius." Knuckles said. "I can take you to the edge of Angel Island, but your on your own from there."

Thunder nodded and stood up. "Lightning. Wake up." He said shaking his sister. He explained what was going on and followed Knuckles.
