Powers... What?

        “What should we do?” asked Levi.

        “Why are  you asking?” Abby asked.

        “Well I no longer feel as if my name is Levi. I just wish I could rename my self. If I could I would name myself Saturn, or something really cool like that.”

        “I know what you mean. I’ve always felt like my name no longer fits me. It’s just so strange. What on earth is happening to us, and why is it happening to us?” asked Ruth.

        “Well, let’s summon up the facts. Number one, our clothes are permanently black leather. Number two, we, all of a sudden, grew fur. Last but not least, number three. We grew claws. What the hay is going on here!?” cried Abby in confusion.

        “You do realize you’re yelling at the very people who are as confused and stupid as you,” Levi asked cooly.

        “Okay, okay, okay. I’ll just talk with your father, Ruth, and I’ll get the answers in no time!” said Abby.(Two hours later)...

        “So, how did it go?” asked Ruth. “Or do I even want to know?”

        “Um… Well,... Let’s put it this way. We kind of need to keep this a secret, but, well, we kind of have powers.” Abby whispered. When she checked the door, Josh, Ruth’s little brother, fell into the room.

        “Josh! What are you doing here?! Are you spying on us?” Ruth cried out in anguish.

        “Yes, I was! I wanted to know what Dad did to you freaks! Also, I’ve already told Mom what I’ve heard!” Josh said, angering the whole party. “Besides I had no choice but to obey Mom! You all should know by now that you can not disobey your parents without getting into trouble! What was I supposed to do? Get grounded for life?!” As soon as Josh was ushered to his mother, Patty, Josh’s mother, yelled for Dr. Ray, Ruth, Abby, Levi, and Aaron.

        “What the heck is going on? I thought that all this was just a normal experiment that you keep inside your lab! What am I supposed to do with all these silly experiments? Why are you letting these, these, monsters out into the open?” screamed Patty at Dr. Ray.

        “What are you talking about, these monsters? The children are not monsters! They are for science! Do you even know what I had to go through to just finish the formula? No, you don’t! So you don’t get to yell at me for my decisions to complete my analysis!” Dr. Ray said calmly. He knew this was how his wife would take the children. “Now, if I could talk to the children by myself. Without you or Josh listening in.” Dr. Ray said firmly. As soon as they left, Dr. Ray asked the four teenagers, “I heard you shouting last night. It was all I could do to keep Patty and Josh in bed. What’s going on?”

        The children were startled at how much their friend and father knew. Finally, Aaron answered, “We all grew fur and claws. We had no idea what went wrong. The four of us decided to cover ourselves in blankets and get books to read.”

        “That is not a surprise to me. I knew that sometime the chemical reaction would start...” Dr. Ray started.

        “And then we would all grow ...” started Abby.

        “Claws and fur!” finished Dr. Ray. “So all in all what happened inside the four of you was the biggest chemical reaction in the world!”

        “That means that every time we change into a panthers, as I’ve figured out, the biggest chemical reactions in the world will instantly start happening again!” Abby said excitedly. “Plus I’ve figured out our true names. I’m Silent Shadow, Ruth is Quadro Four, Aaron is Silver Claw, and Levi is Street Prowl.
