First Class
The coach saw them. "Jordan! How are you?" Rose hugged him. "Hey coach!" The coach nudged her. "This here your boyfriend?" She nodded proudly. "Jack, come on!" Jack came forward. The class was whispering. "He's nice, and very cute. But he doesn't like to take his mask off." Jack cleared his throat. "Anyway," Coach said. "You might enjoy our lesson today. We're climbing the rope!" Rose gasped, and everyone else whined. "Can I go first? Please?" Coach nodded. "Go on, Spider-Woman!" She dropped her bag, and showed Jack the rope."Climb it, and ring the bell. You don't have to run later if you do. Don't cheat, EJ." She took her bag off, and threw her hand around the rope. She climbed it expertly, and EJ just stared. She rang the bell, and slid down. She smiled. "Jack, wanna go next?" She turned. Three boys were cornering him, threatening to take his mask off. One boy went to punch him, but Rose jumped in front. He got her cheek instead. She winced. "Stay away for Jack!" Coach came over. "What happened... Jordan, you okay? What happened?" She explained.
The first boy tried to defend himself. "Coach, we didn't! We were just messing!" Coach grabbed him by the arm, and the rest stayed back. Another boys said, "We'll get you for that." Rose growled. "Back off." EJ knelt next to her. "You okay?" She nodded. "Yeah." He turned her toward the wall, and took out the jar of kidneys. "You weren't supposed to bring that." He led it to her face. "They're large jelly beans... Ish." Rose laughed. She turned. No one was paying attention. "Put it away." She whispered. "They can't see the organs. Not humans." He put it up. A girl came up to her.
"Hey, I'm Josephine. Jordan, right?" Rose nodded. "I would make friends, but I'm leaving in two days. I've already been here, so if that's okay with you, I'll just stick with my BF." The girl nodded, and walked off. Rose looked up, and heard the bell ring. EJ was at the top, sliding down the rope. He smiled. "Easy." Rose looked at him. "Maybe." He admitted. Rose slapped him on the back of the head, giggling.
"Idiot." She muttered. Jack put his arm around her, and the bell rung one final time. Someone laughed. "I made it!" Rose smiled. "Come on, let's go to the next class. We don't follow their schedule." EJ nodded, and they walked to their next class.
