Holding It In

Tiger took the purple gem's wrist in her hand. She could see torn veins and blood coming out of the bite.
"Amethyst I'm so sorry-"
Amethyst smiled, but Tiger found it hard to ignore the stream of tears running down her face.
"Yo it's fine! Not likemI can't just walk it off!"
Tiger grimaced.  She highly doubted she could just 'walk it off'.
"Let me help you up."
She offered Amethyst a hand, the corners of her mouth twitching. She looked away for a second, the next Amethyst was on her feet. What Tiger saw next made her want to shatter herself. Right then.
Amethyst was bent over, her hand over her stomach.
She was literally holding in her intestines and her other vital organs through a gaping wound. Tiger's eye glistened with tears.
"Ohh Amethyst..."
Tiger started.
"AMETHYST!"
Pearl.
The white gem shoved Tiger out of the way before lookimg her straight in the eye.
Amethyst was vomiting purple blood on the ground before collapsing into Tiger's arms. The gem's stocky body was shaking like mad.
"What's wrong? Ehy isn't she retreating into her gemstone?!"
Didn't she know anything?  Tiger was enraged at this point.
"She got bitten, Pearl! Bitten by a corrupted gem! The venom, one injected into the gem, they can't heal or retreat into their gem until it wears off in a matter of years!"
The orange gem slid down into a sitting position.
Tiger wiped a tear of Amethyst's face. The quartz's eyes were glazed over, half closed, as if she were blind.
More blood drizzled from the corners of her mouth.
Pearl looked flustered, her face turning from pale white to cyan within seconds.
"How could you let this happen?!"
Pearl screamed at Tiger. Tiger buried her face in Amethyst's hair.
She held the purple gem close to her.
She felt Amethyst's heart pounding in her ribcage, like it wanted to get free.
"Guys," A cough. "I'm okay!"
Tiger looked her in the eye as the younger gem grimaced in pain.
"Okay, I lied. It hurts- alot..."
Amethyst grunted in pain and tensed up.
"You're NOT fine! Look at you, you're a mess!"  
Tiger looked at Amethyst's wound. All she could see was blood and guts.
Amethyst closed her eyes. What was Steven going to say? What was  Garnet going to say?  Only a matter of time before they found out.
