Captains Log 4366.9 Part 2
As time passed, the star ships rendezvoused at the designated co-ordinates."Have all ships load there phaser banks." Kirk ordered.
"All ships locked and ready, Captain." Mr. Sulu answered.
"Captain, the Romulans are approaching, and firing." Spock said,
"Evasive maneuvers Mr. Sulu!"
"Aye Captain!"
"Sir, the Excalibur is badly hit!" Uhura panickly said,
Kirk shouted "Tell the ships to concentrate fire on the center ship, and spread outwards! Quick!".
As the ships' phasers fired, the center ship exploded, as did a second, however, the other two did a barrel and suddenly vanished.
"Sensors indicate a trail of Ion particles leading away from the ship." Spock analyzed.
"They probably fell back, but they'll be back." Kirk said.
Uhura spoke, "Sir, Captain of the Excalibur wishes to speak to you."
"On screen."
"Yes sir."
"Captain Kirk, our ship is badly damaged, we'll need to repair."
"Roger, we'll cover you while you are repairing. But be on high alert, the Romulans could come out any minute."
"Will do, Kirk."
The transmission ended.
