What if Katniss and Peeta never went to the Hunger Games. This is the story of a young girl named Grove, who grows up as one of Cato's best friends. They are in deep love. But when Cato goes to the Hunger Games she starts having doubts.

     It was now the 74th Hunger Games. Just a few weeks ago Cato volunteered. She was wishing him luck. He had already killed about 3 in the blood bath. It had only been half an hour. Cato as well was the leader of the Careers. Grove had given him so pointers on how to survive the Hunger Games.
     A few days after the Hunger Games had started Grove got her dad to send him a note. It was from Grove. She told him that she was a little concerned that he was turning into a vicious monster. She told him good luck then said goodbye.
     Later in the games Grove saw Cati skeeping with another girl. She was a little upset because two weeks ago they started dating but she promised herself she would not bring it up.
     Cato ended up winning the Hunger Games but Grove was not interested anymore. She broke up with Cato. The Hunger Games changed Cato. He was different. He was violent. She was not even wanting to be his friend.
