Loveheart Cutie Brigade!: descent into madness

Coughing could be heard. Loveheart turned towards where the sound was coming from, mace and shield at the ready. A few more coughs... No, it wasn't coughing, but she realized by now that the sound she heard was choking.

Loveheart slowly headed towards the source. She found herself in a dark hallway, and the choking seized. Suddenly, a saliva-coated head of a man rolled and bumped her feet. As soon as Loveheart picked it up, she recognized it as Abagail's father.

The house suddenly felt cold, and a figure so bizarre, yet somehow familiar, appeared. It's lower body was that if a large snake, partially cut off. The face was distorted, with various large bumps that resembled mumps. It wheezed and hissed as it slivered towards Loveheart. This was once Abagail.

Loveheart gripped her mace tightly. Abagail screeched and unhinged her incredibly large maw. In response, Loveheart threw her mace towards the beast's oversized mouth. Abagail caught it, a few teeth shattered, but nonetheless she spat the mace back out and charged at Loveheart. Raising a shield, the girl prevented herself from being bitten by huge fangs, but her opponent tore her shield away. Loveheart, luckily, had the ability to send her mace back into her hand, and by doing so the mace decapitated Abagail on its way to her hand.

Loveheart grasped not only the mace, but an odd glowing ball of plasma that she never seen before. She had a monster soul.
