Prologue: A Blessing
*Please note, this chapter takes place before Anita is born, and is therefore written in third person.*+++
Many inhabitants of Mobius believe that the legend of angels living among then is nothing but a silly myth. That angels do not exist.
Well, the legend is in fact true. The only reason no one has ever seen them is because they are not supposed to reveal themselves to the Mobians.
But one angel disobeyed this rule. Her name was Eleanor. She had beautiful beige skin and long, fair, angelic blonde hair. Her clothes were a pale pink, with dazzling white wings.
One day, in her kingdom of Wington, Eleanor ventured into the forest, where the border of her kingdom met with the border of Mobius. And there, standing at the border of his world, was a dark blue hedgehog.
No, it wasn't Sonic.
It was a hedgehog named Damien. He caught notice of Eleanor, and the two came together at the foot of the border where the two worlds met. And the glisten in their eyes signified an undeniable bond; the two were meant to be.

A few years later, it was announced Damien and Eleanor would bond the two worlds of Wington and Mobius as one. Everyone who was anyone rejoiced at the thought of peace. Eleanor's love for Damien was so strong in a time of war and death, it was enough to end the treacherous time.
The wedding took place on the peaceful and beautiful Angel Island, home of the Master Emerald. Damien was wearing his best tuxedo. Eleanor wore the most gorgeous white dress anyone has ever seen. It was foot-length of course, a metre of the dress trailing on the floor from behind. Her wings acted as a feathery shawl on the day, which only raised her beauty even more.

6 months post the wedding, it was announced Eleanor was pregnant. Her child was a girl, but nobody knew if she was human, or hedgehog.
But when the baby was born, the result was unexpected.
Eleanor had given birth to a beautiful girl of half angel, half hedgehog. She was named Anita.
And so the whole world, having heard of the new-born baby, wondered what would become, of Anita the Angel-hog.
