Chapter 15.5, After Dusk Returned

Chapter 15.5, After Dusk Returned
Dawn had been waiting at the top of the house for Dusk to return since just after midday. It was now nearing sunset, when Dusk was finally approaching the place.
Dusk climbed the building near her sister.

"Ah, Dusk where have you been all this time?" Dawn asked worriedly.

"I just needed time to think outside," Dusk quietly replied.

"Well Willow asked you about the pride earlier right?" Dawn inquired. "Is that why you needed to think?"

"Part of it yeah, but that wasn't all. You've been scenting it too lately, the scent of humans approaching this place, haven't you."

"Yes Dusk you're right. I have, though I doubt we need to worry."

"I need more time to consider this."

   "Get some rest Dusk."

"I will. Don't worry about that.

Dawn watched Dusk enter the hole in the glass roof before following. When Dawn entered both Willow and Altra were sitting there, waiting it seemed. The two motioned Dawn to sit with them.

"Dawn can you tell us what you know about healers and special powers?" asked Willow.

"Of course," Dawn replied. "The healers could speak to our ancestors. In fact I know that the head healers would always hear a certain prophecy. It went like this 'Three will rise and fall before peace comes. One will be left to hold the peace. When the one falls the three will return.' It supposedly speak of The Four. They had a prophecy that is still continuing. It likely won't end anytime soon. I think there will be another prophecy to accompany it. It was a healer's job to see such things you know."

"Then Dawn we have what we need to start rebuilding the pride," Willow said.

"You're right," Dawn responded with a slight smile. "Get some rest we start tomorrow."

The two young cats nodded and followed Dawn to the sleep room. Dawn hopped on the bed where Dusk lay curled up. Willow and Altra both hopped onto the other bed pushed next to the first one. They all fell asleep after some time unaware of how they would soon find trouble.
