Part 4: Memories from the Past
I walk to the door to the left of my room, the door is slightly ajar. So I lightly push on the door but it doesn't budge. This is heavier than I thought it was. So I more forcefully lightly push on the door but it doesn't move. Its heavier than I thought. I push open the door using more force and open the door only a little bit, only enough to see in because the door was hard to push open and took a little out of me. From what I can see the room is nothing special from my room. I start pushing more until there is enough space for me to get in and see that the room is just like everyone else's. "It must belong to one of the other people in the big room." I think outloud. I go to the room to the right of my room because there is nothing new in that room. When I get to the door I can already tell that this is the room I'm looking for. Well I guess I'll never know unless I man up and open this door and the other one. So, I push the door open and find a room like mine. "Must belong to someone in the big room" I think aloud. So, I go to the door to the left of my room, see how there is nothing useful in the other one and it also not the room I'm looking for. The other door is very different from the other door. First, there is bloody hand print and smear on areas on the door itself. Second, there are faint bloody footprints leading from the room. Lastly, there is blood on the doorknob.
This must be the room, it has to be.. But, what am I hoping to find on the other side? There's nothing but death and despair on the other side. I guess I'm just curious and I need to satisfy that curiosity by looking inside this room. So, I start pushing on the door, but it's heavier than the other because it's closed all the way and there must be some kind of stopper when it closes.
I eventually crack it open, but when I do I immediately feel sick. I drop to my knees "Oh...god...what...is that...smell." I ask coughing and wheezing. But, I know exactly what that smell is. It's a smell I know too much. it's the same thing I smelled when I found my grandmother in her house....murdered.
I remember like it was yesterday, how could I forget. I was twelve and one day my grandmother wasn't picking up or returning any of my mom's calls. So, my mom told me to go deliver the groceries that we got for grandmother and to check on her to make sure she was all right. So, I did and when I got there my grandmother's door was open. So, I went inside dropped off the groceries and look and calling for her. Then, I got to her room and I smelled something horrible. It made me throw up and made me feel sick. Then, I saw her on her bed backside up with dozens of stab wounds all over her back. She must have been there for hours. They caught the killer because he accidentally cut himself on some glass and that left blood on it. But, that event left me traumatized and I loved my grandmother so much. It pains me just thinking about. But, now here I am, smelling that same smell just that it's not as strong, probably because my grandmother was dead longer than this woman.
Now I remember what I smell, I smell death. now, I know for a fact that this is real. So, all I have to do is open this door and do some investigating and try to find clues to who this woman is and what she did to get herself here. So, I start braving through the smell and start to push again and now it's easier to push but hard at the same time. I crack it open enough for me to get through and I can already see that the room is worse than I thought because there is blood all over the ceiling and walls. When, I look to the ceiling I see that there is a camera just like the one in my room, but by this point I'm not surprised by the fact that the other rooms looks like mine. I go in and look around, it looks just as horrible as it did on the video. There is still the woman's bloody and maimed body in the corner, there is still leading up to her body on the still bloody wall, there is still her bloody mask inches away from her body all in the same places as they were in the video. I feel just as sick as I did when I smelled her dead body. "Oh...god. This is so...horrible. She really is," I struggle to say what every "player" of this game already knows. It's just hard to accept it "she...she...really is dead." But I still can't believe that someone was murdered in this room and that the victim's body is still in here. I walk around the room and investigate to the best of my abilities with shaky legs. But, I start to get dizzy because this is so hard to process and clumsily stumble around the room. I scan at her body for any clues. But, there is nothing to help identify her like a name tag or something like that and I don't recognize her. So, that leaves me with nothing to help identify her. I look at her body some more to see if I miss something and this time more thoroughly. Now that I'm looking at her body more closely I start to notice all her stab wounds giving me a chill down my spine. I look at her stomach which has deep stab wounds all over it and I think that I can see a bit of her organs. But, I'm surprised by the fact that none of her intestines got pulled out by the scissors or that none of them fell out. I look at the rest of her torso and see a bit of ripped heart and lungs and a bit of broken bone. When I look at her arms, legs and neck I still find nothing but more holes and a bit of bone. However, her back and head are almost completely unscathed. Doing this is worse than having to watching her body through the cameras because I start to notice the smaller details. Like how her organs were nearly pulled and how her arms, legs, and head were nearly severed by the wounds. I'm still surprised that none of her limbs were severed because the limbs were deep. I'm afraid that if I try to move her body that I might accidently finish what those wounds started and knock one of her limbs off. I...would rather that not happen. So, I decide to try the mask for any clues. I can't really see into it because of the mask I have on and the lighting of the room. The only reason I could see the wounds on the woman's body was because there was a lot of light on her and the wounds were big enough for me to see. There could have been wounds on her back and I just didn't notice because they were small. There's nothing more for me to examine and I want to get out of this room as soon as possible. So I leave the room and on the way there I accidentally run into the scissors a few inches away from the body. I look down to see them still bloody except for the part where they were being held. I look one more time at her body. She's beautiful, she has good looks and long wavy blonde hair, what more could a guy ask for. Then again her sin is lust so, it's not surprising that she's good looking. Well, she would be absolutely gorgeous if her her face wasn't twisted into a face of pain and misery. I sigh and walk out the door. And when I do I notice that horse and fox stopped arguing and that they are talking with some other people. I also notice that some more people came out of their rooms. One pig: male, one horse: female, and one bear: male. But, it seems that some of the others have retreated to their rooms. The male fox, the male cat, and the female lion. The female fox from earlier notices me and gestures me to come over with the hands behind her back. But, after my investigation I don't feel like talking, I'm feeling dizzy, and I just feel like a big part me died inside. So, I just want to sit down in my room and try to collect my thoughts. So, I just gesture back "no" by shaking my head and slowly walk to my room. While I'm in my room, I walk to my bed the world goes black and I fall down with a big "Thud!" before I can make it to my bed.
