It's 11:45. There was still some people left so the games, rides and food booths stayed open."Can we go on the Freak Out?" I ask dad.
"Are you sure? When we went on it earlier, you actually did freak out" Dad said, laughing.
"Thanks dad" I roll my eyes. "I won't this time, is never as bad the second time" I said.
"Okay" he said.
"I don't want to go on, I'm tired, and that ride was wayyy to scary for me" said Heather. "I'll watch" she said.
I sorta have the feeling that she just said she didn't want to go on so she could just here me screaming and I wouldn't notice her laughing at me. I'm pretty sure that's what shes gonna do. Dad an I get in the line. Two people come and wait behind us. Two minutes later, we got onto the ride. I sat down into the seat. Dad sits next to me. I start shaking. Dad smiles. The freak out is weird, its like a crane end on the end. That's where you sit. There are four claws that face inward, so you can see the people right across from you. Once it starts it swings back and forth and goes higher, it also spins. I like the big rides. But seriously, the Freak Out is a scary ride. It starts up and starts swinging. I clench onto the handles at my sides. Its getting higher. I get a little scared but I don't scream. Its really high. Dads laughing. It swings almost as high as it goes
I screamed a few times, Dad smirks. I look down. I see Heather laughing at me. I can tell by the huge grin on her face. I look at the people across from us. They're smiling at me too, except for this one guy who was screaming too. I scream once more and the ride starts slowing down. A few more swings and the ride comes to a complete stop and we get off. I shiver, but I didn't shake or scream as bad as last time.
"Have fun?" Heather joked.
"That was fun" said dad, grinning at me. We go on another ride. 11:51.
"I think its time to go now" Dad said.
"Can I get a drink first?" I ask. "Me too?" Asked Heather.
"We can all get drinks" he said. We walk up to a food stand, the guy was cleaning the counters.
"Pepsi please" I say. Dad orders a Dr. Pepper and Heather gets sprite.
"Here you go." He hand us our drinks. As he gives me my drink, he had a creepy smile at me... Like, really creepy, like he was some sort of stalker or something. I shake my head and turn away. As we are walking away he watches me sip my drink. As I'm sipping using the straw I look back at him. He's still watching... I think hes still smiling too. I wish he would stop staring at me.
I suddenly got dizzy. I start to stagger, thinking I was just tired, but then my vision got super blurry. I was starting to get worried at this point, but still convinced myself that I was just really sleepy. My throat starts to hurt, I suddenly have a hard time breathing. There's something wrong with me. I drop my drink, my vision goes black, I pass out and fall to the ground.
"CARNEE!!!!" Dad shouts and gets down on one knee next to me.
"Carnee!" He calls to me an pats my cheek, trying to wake me up. People are just staring, not doing anything, they're trying not to get involved. Heather's just standing there, freaking out. Dad feels my pulse, its extremely rapid and my breathing became very slow, Dad puts his hand below my nose, he was getting even more afraid that I was breathing so slowly, but my heart was racing.
"SOMEONE CALL AN AMBULANCE!!!!!!!!" He calls out, still trying to wake me up by patting my cheeks and gently shaking my shoulders.
I'm in the ambulance when I open my eyes slowly. I saw a paramedic, dad and Heather, and then I close my eyes again and fall asleep once more.
I wake up in a hospital room. I'm in the children's ward. The walls were an ivory colour. There's stickers on the wall and teddy bears on a shelf in the corner. The room is dim, the lights are off, but I can see i little bit of light shining through the curtains covering a window on the other corner of the room. I look around for a clock but I don't see one. I'm lying in a bed with white and gray sheets over me and I'm wearing a white hospital gown. My muscles were stiff and tired and sore, I could barely move. I try lifting my right arm but it's stiff and tired. I noticed an I.V in my arm, it hurt and it was stinging, I whine and try to lift my head up, my neck was too sore. I lift my other arm and touch my face. I look at my finger tips, they must have washed the face paint off. I lay there. My head hurts really bad and my vision is still a little blurry but I can still see. I look to my left. There's a table with a t.v remote and my cell-phone laying there. I pick up my cell phone but my left arm is sore too. I turn it on. 4 text messages and a missed phone call. It's 11:50 am... I put it back down on the nightstand where it was before. I use all my strength to sit up, my head starts spinning and I get a little dizzy, my head pounds, the pounding is in the same rhythm as my pulse. Pound...pound...pound... There's a heart monitor to my right, beeping also with the rhythm of my heart. My pulse seems quicker than it should be. I turn, sitting on the edge of my bed, my head still hurts. I slide on the edge more and I try to stand up. I'm really dizzy.
I take a few steps forward. I take more steps, my knees feel weak and my head pounds harder.
"Ouch" there was a pinch in my arm. The I.V. was as extended as far as it could go and it pinched me.
I stand there and look around a bit. The door to the hall was closed and had a cover over the window of the door. I stood there a bit and decided to pull out the I.V. I pull it out. It hurt, and a few seconds later my veins start to hurt, my head spins and pounds, feeling like someone hit me in the side of the head with a baseball bat. The heart monitor starts beeping loud, and its beeping fast. My heart rate was rapid, my vision blurred. I was breathing rapidly and my muscles felt like giving out. A nurse came running in, she was holding a needle. I pass out and hit the floor before she could catch me.
