What Happened To The Light?

"Hello?" Groof said. "Where are my friends? Why am I talking to air? Do I really expect if I do....." All of a sudden a shadow leaped in front of him. ".. I'll get an answer," Groof finished. "I  know where they are," The shadow said. "Let me help you." He followed the shadow into the darkness.
"Can I go back?" Groof asked the shadow. "Yes," the shadow said. Groof ran the way he cam, but it was all dark.
He ran back, yelling, "Hello guy. What happened to the light?" He didn't see the shadow anywhere. At that moment, somebody stabbed him in the back of his head and he died instantly.
