Nightmare Moon

Nightmare Moon She stopped laughing and opened her eyes, glaring at her sister. Her dark wings were spread wide as she growled. Suddenly, lit up her horn and shot a powerful, blue beam of magic at a small statue of Celestia, destroying it completely. She moved the beam up onto the roof which blew the roof off, exposing the dark eclipse. A cloud of mist covered the room as the roof fell to the ground. Celestia looked down at the floor, angry, and then up at her sister. As the mist parted, Princess Luna..or Nightmare Moon..appeared, glaring at Celestia. Princess Celestia flew into the air, glaring down at her sister. Nightmare Moon shot a dark blue beam at her, but Celestia dodged. She landed back onto the floor, staring her sister in the eye.
"Luna! I will not fight you! You must lower the moon! It is your duty!" Celestia shouted,
"Luna? I am..Nightmare Moon! I have but one royal duty now..to DESTROY YOU!" She yelled back, charging up her horn before firing at her sister. Celestia dodged again and flew into the night sky, away from Nightmare. "And WHERE do you think you're going?!" Nightmare shouted, launching herself into the sky and after Celestia. She kept firing beams at her as she flew after her, but no matter how hard she tried Celestia kept dodging them easily. Growling and fed up, Nightmare Moon fired up her horn again and aimed at Celestia. It hit her!

Celestia screamed and fell down onto the cold, hard floor far below. Nightmare smirked and laughed evilly, throwing her head back as she hovered in the light of the moon. Meanwhile, Celestia was on the cold hard floor. She looked dead.. but she wasn't.
She got up slowly, glaring up at the dark sky. "Oh dear sister.." She said, closing her eyes, "I am sorry. But you have given me no choice..but to use..these!" And with her horn, she opened up a secret compartment in the floor. The statue raised up out of the ground, it's arms slowly turning and groaning. The statue was a round table with little 'branches' sticking off of it. They branches held 5 little gems. One red, one blue, one orange, one purple and one pink. Celestia flew up to the tall elemental statue, and with her magic she revealed another gem from the circle at the top. A star-like figure. The Element of Harmony! The sun princess levitated all the other gems and spun them around her, making a rainbow ring appear around her body. Celestia glowed brightly and flew up into the sky to where Nightmare Moon was.

Nightmare's eyes turned white and she set up a small, white spikey shield of magic around her. Celestia glared at her, and then shut them tightly, trying to stop the tears from flowing out. The elements formed a circle at the tip of her glowing horn. She aimed her horn through the center of the circle. Nightmare lit up her horn and fired a dark beam of magic at her sister. Celestia did the same, but a bright rainbow colour. The two beams collided and fought, trying to reach their opponent. But Celestia's was just too powerful and it got closer and closer to Nightmare. Nightmare opened her eyes and stared, gasping. She was swallowed in the powerful rainbow beam and then suddenly, the rainbow was fired up to the moon. A rainbow ring fired out of the moon and a dark shape was printed on the stone planet. The shape of a unicorn's head that looked like Nightmare Moon. The whole of harmony was restored...

Celestia's POV:
So that was that..she's gone..but it was for the best...
It's only been 100 years and everyday is just pain. The ponies of Equestria rejoice on the longest day of every year with the Summer Sun Celebration. The ponies see the celebration as the defeat of Nightmare Moon and the return of daylight. I don't. The celebration for me is just a terrible reminder that I had to banish my own sister..
Every night I go outside and watch the stars and look at moon. It's so different to not have Luna around. I miss having her wonderful company. Every time I had a nightmare she would run in a tell me everything's okay..
Oh Luna..
