Part 3. One Hell of a Butler

Jon had been up for hours in denial of what he saw, it was now 7:45 a.m. and he was still laying in bed wondering if what he saw was true or not. He finally got out of bed at 8:20 and made a run through of his normal morning routine, get up, use the bathroom, eat breakfast, but by the end of all that he noticed something strange when he was finally fully awake. There were no demons in his house today, normally they’d be all over the place, but not today.
He had been everywhere he normally sees something but his house was clean. He went outside to see the second strangest thing he had ever seen, there was a man in front of his house, a nicely dressed and good looking man.
“Greetings Jonathan, my name is Inar,” he says with a somewhat menacing, but welcoming smile “it’s nice to finally meet you.” Jon looked at him with a confused face, then spoke.
“How do you know me?” He questioned Inar with a puzzled face.
“I was sent from the seventh circle to tend to you and make the oncoming journey easier” Inar said with a smile on his face.
Jonathan looked at him with a blank stare for a few seconds and noticed the black car sitting behind the demon, it was a nice car, a black 1967 Chevy Impala in near pristine condition. Jon had a puzzled look then spoke, “who sent you?”
“You’ll find out soon enough,” he says with a kind smile and gestures to an open door, “for now I will serve you on the journey to come.”
Jon entered the car and Inar closed the door behind him. “How did you find me?” Jon questioned the demon.
“As I’ve said before, I was sent from the seventh circle of hell to help you on your journey, and complete tasks that can’t be performed by people like you, people in their early stages.” Inar answered looking at him with a warm look.
    “Right, like a demon butler?”
“Of sorts,” he replied with a slight tilt of his head.
“Another question, what do you mean ‘in the early stages’?”
“You’ll see in time.” Inar answered cryptically and turned to start driving.
Inar’s answer left Jon wondering, and eventually tired of thinking, so he slept for the duration of the car ride that his new “demon butler” took him on. He woke up after an hour and Inar looked back at him.
