Meeting him again reminded her of what he had done, reigniting her thirst for vengeance and extinguishing the flame of doubt. (It cackled in glee, knowing it had finally won.) She’d hunt them down and then find him and get him to explain. She’d drag him back to her kicking and screaming if she had to.She had placed her schemes on hold, but the plan was back in motion, and her determination to complete her goal was burning brighter than ever. Her hands would be dyed crimson red with their blood again. But if she had to give in to the darkness to deliver justice, then so be it. Why should she continue to search for redemption when the world never tried to help her.
She was never good, never an angel. She was a sinner, with sins darker than scarlet, but she wasn’t evil, wasn’t a monster. She’d hunt them down and end them, she wouldn’t harm the bystanders. That, would be her revenge. And so the hunt continues.
