Leaving the Guild gave her time to think. She had already killed and done so much for her revenge, but what would she do after it? Was it really worth it?Yes. They took your friends from you and razed your home. They deserve everything that they’ll get. Karma will come back and make them pay. They’ll feel your wrath and suffer at your very hands for what they’ve done.The voice inside her hissed venomously.
No. Revenge will change nothing. It won’t bring them back. And the slate you’re trying so desperately hard to clean will be dyed red once more. If you continue to dedicate your life to this, then what will be left of you after it's complete? Nothing but a hollow shell of your former self. The other voice responded.
She was at a standstill. She had turned her back to the light in order to fulfill her mission, but she was missing out on life and the world, she wasn’t living, but she was surviving.
Life is cruel and the world never gave a damn about you in the first place. They left you to die. You’re a survivor. The voice spoke, toxic.
But do you really want to go through with this? You’re throwing your life away. The second voice insisted.
She tuned them both out. She’d cross the bridge when she came to it. (She ignored the third voice that told her that putting it off would only make the situation worse.)
