Chapter 4 - Cressida
(JESUS how late has this been due?! I am SO sorry, guys! So sorry! I'll try and be more active with this story! Anyway, let's try get this story back on! Enjoy!)By now, Cressida was the only remaining Captive in the small Cell. She heard someone call it the "Recruitment Cell", but she wasn't sure whether it could be called that. The Captives weren't really being recruited for anything, and hence naming it the Recruitment Cell wouldn't make much sense.
As she sat alone, her eyes glancing around the cell, she felt even more anxious than before. Was it perhaps to do with her being the only one? She didn't know. But the gate soon opened, and in walked Alice, the Leading Kidnapper.
"Just you left, little one," Alice spoke, almost as if she was teasing Cressida. "I have something special planned for you."
Cressida shook slightly. It made her nervous of what to do. Though she wanted to speak, to ask what exactly was planned, she knew it was best to stay silent.
"Stand up," Alice ordered, to which Cressida obeyed. Grabbing her wrist, Alice began to drag Cressida to a new room. Nothing but bright white floors and walls gave a blinding background. All the Captives were held in darkness, so walking into a bright room such as this one was a big risk to their eyesight. And one that the Kidnappers didn't care about. Did they ever care about safety? Possibly for themselves, but never for the Captives. To people like Alice, Cressida and the other Captives were puny insects that did not deserve to live.
Alice finally let go of Cressida's arm. "Sit," she ordered. Cressida could tell there was power behind Alice's voice. Power that she didn't dare try to resist, because of the consequences. Cressida sat in the chair, as Alice then walked over, pulling a small table with equipment behind her. As Alice strapped Cressida tight in the chair to prevent escape, Cressida was able to look at the equipment on the table. A bottle of liquid, a syringe, a knife, a pair of scissors, and some tablet prescriptions that removed pain.
This would not end well. At all.
As Alice stood up straight, she looked down at the helpless Cressida. There was something about the look in Cressida's eyes that she liked. It was probably her fear, as it made Alice smirk.
The syringe was already filled with the same liquid in the bottle. Alice took hold of it in one hand, and Cressida's shoulder in the other. Gently, Alice inserted the sharp needle at the top of Cressida's arm, in her shoulder. She pressed down at the top, as the liquid was inserted into her body. Within seconds, every limb in Cressida's body felt numb, non-existent. She knew something was going to happen.
Alice looked down into the eyes of her helpless guinea pig. "It's a shame this has to be done."
Those words shocked Cressida. Why was it a shame? Alice is the leader of the Kidnappers. Why is she, of all people, feeling remorse in doing this?
"I actually like you."
Now things were confusing. Every little awkward second that Cressida spent just staring at Alice in confusion seemed to slow down. She tilted her head and asked, "What?"
"I said," Alice repeated, "I actually like you, Cressida. You're young, vibrant... you remind me of myself."
Alice soon stepped back, gesturing to Cressida's arms. As she looked, an A had been carved into both of her shoulders, with flicks at each end.
"That's my signature," Alice said. "Be lucky you have it. It means only I can use you."
She then positioned herself on Cressida's lap, her legs wrapping around the back of the chair. Now what was she doing? She wasn't...
"I want to keep you for myself, Cressida," Alice whispered. "But how do we convince the others of your torture initiation?
+++
It took a while, but they finally came to an agreed decision.
The needle was refilled with the same liquid that paralysed Cressida's body, and she watched as it was inserted into her jaw. Now her whole mouth was numb. She couldn't even keep her lips closed; the numbness swelled her lips so they looked like fat sausages, you'd swear she was from The Only Way Is Essex.
(A/N: Yes people, I went there. TOWIE REFERENCES FTW!)
"Hold still," Alice commanded. "It won't look convincing otherwise." Cressida didn't really have a choice. She stayed as still as possible, while Alice gently placed a pair of scissors inside her mouth. The blades wrapped around her tongue, and Alice started to cut. Cressida squinted her eyes, trying not to think about it. She had chosen to sacrifice her will to speak, so people would believe that Alice was tormenting her. She was doing this to hide the truth.
But she knew it would mean something in the end.
Alice soon pulled away, with Cressida's tongue in her hand, the scissor blades now bloody. "All done," Alice stated, and Cressida opened her eyes once more. Within Alice's thumb and index finger was Cressida's cut, blooded tongue. It made her feel a little nauseous.
But she quickly shook it off. It was her decision, she couldn't back out.
Alice embraced Cressida in one last hug, before untying her from the chair, and leading her to the now-crowded Main Cell. She was assigned to a small mattress in the far corner, made to look like Alice didn't want to see her face straight away as she walked in. Everything was planned out between the two.
Before Cressida sat on her mattress, Alice left her alone, and returned to the gate.
Yet she didn't exit.
She turned round to face the Captives, and all voices suddenly hushed for her.
"Now that our new recruits have passed initiation, they are now your new cellmates. All of you are equally pathetic, which is very. For the sake of the new recruits, I will give a quick repeat of some of the rules I have written down that all of you can, must, and will abide by while in this Warehouse."

Just leaving this for overnight, but if you can give this comment AT LEAST five likes, I will try my hardest to end the cliffhanger suspense tomorrow.
AKA I will start writing the new chapter tomorrow if this gets the five likes needed.
PLEASE
ITS LITTERALLY GIVING ME TERRIFIED YOU ARENT UPDATING THIS FASTER
It's just that I've been selected at random for a remark in one of my college subjects, so that now has to be my top priority.
Sorrt if I seem impaitent. Just am.
Sorry that this hasn't been updated in a while.
The next chapter is in development, I promise.
(I'm a smart alik x3)
You really think so?
I wanted to involve others in this, so I felt this was a good idea, and it drives me out my comfort zone in terms of what I write.
Other than that, I enjoy it.
"Warning: if a character does don't go blaming it on me"
Me: Oooh nice!
