Becoming adopted...

First day!

        Soren woke up the next morning,the sunlight shining through her window.She looks to see herself covered up in a warm purple blanket.The pillow felt soft against her head,and she almost fell back asleep.As soon as she closes her eyes again,Sonic burst through the door."Wake up!"Soren jumps up onto the ceiling,gripping it in fright.Amy burst in along with Rouge.Amy was holding her hammer threateningly and then looks at Sonic.She frowns and yells"When I said to wake her up,I DIDN'T MEAN SCREAM AT HER!"Soren falls from the ceiling and lands on the bed.Scourge walks in with a smug grin."Isn't that what your doing?"
        Amy grimaces at Scourge and Shadow walks in."Breakfast is done.And please stop arguing,the kid is right there."Soren looks at the others and Amy immediately panics.Amy picks her up and says"Oh! It was just a little play fight!Right guys?!"She looks at the others.Sonic nods quickly while Shadow says nothing.Rouge then says"Why don't we go downstairs to eat."Amy carries Soren down,holding her tightly.Soren was being squished and made a face.Scourge laughs and says"Why don't you let me carry her?"Amy gives him a distrusting look."Why would I let you do that?!You'll drop her!"Scourge frowns."And why do you think that?!"Soren looks at both of them."I can walk!You don't have to carry me!"Amy smiles sweetly at her."I don't mind dear."Soren looks down,and her stomach growls.Silver looks at the group annoyed."Oh for crying out loud!"
         Silver takes Soren from Amy and takes her to the table.Blaze sets a plat of pancakes in front of her.Rouge chuckles."I guess it wasn't really that hard!"Scourge and Amy growl at each other.Soren begins eating her pancakes,while everyone thinks of what to do in the living room.Sonic jumps up and exclaims"Lets take her for a run in on the trails!"Amy looks at him."She's a girl Sonic!
        What we need to do is get her some new clothes!"Silver looks at the both of them."How about this?Each of us can take her for an hour at a time and show her what you like to do!There is bound to be something she think will be fun."Sonic looks to Silver."Thats actually a good idea!"Soren finished eating and puts her plate in the sink,and goes to the doorway."What are you guys talking about?"Soren asked.Sonic looks at her smiling,"Each of us are going to take you somewhere! Are you wanting to do that?"Soren smiles."Yeah!Sounds fun!"
        Sonic was running down the path,his feet pounding on the ground for barley a second."Come on Soren!Aren't you running?"Soren was panting farther behind."I'm not as fast as you mister Sonic."Sonic stops in his tracks and says,"Break time!"He sits on the rock.Soren finally catches up and falls into the ground,leaves in her face.Sonic looks down at her,as Soren looks up panting."You don't have to call me that you know.You can call me-!"He smiles wide and helps her up."Uncle Sonic!"Soren looks up at him."Uncle Sonic?"She stands up as Sonic did as well."What?Do you not like it?"Soren smiles."Of course I like it!"Sonic smiles back."You better get used to it then.I come up with great ideas all the time!"
        After that,everyone took her to their favorite places.Knuckles took her to lunch,Silver took her to a movie.Then Amy,Rouge,and Blaze took her out for shopping.Tails did a lab experiment with her,while Scourge took her out for dinner.Soren sits on the bench nervously,with Scourge smiling his usual fanged smile.Soren knew who was coming next:Shadow.She had noticed how he would stare at her,like she didn't belong there."Uncle Scourge?"Soren asks."Yeah?"Scourge says looking over."Whats the matter kid?"Soren fixes the sunglasses he gave her on her head."What's uncle Shadow like?"Scourge's smile disappeared,giving Soren a more nervous feeling."Well....For one thing,I don't think its a good idea to call him that.He is more...quiet."Soren notices his hesitation.Shadow was walking toward them and Soren quickly looks away.Scourge stands up and begins to walk away."See ya later kid!"He turns.Soren waves at him."Bye Uncle Scourge!"Shadow walks up to her."Ready to go?"Soren looks up at him,to see Shadow looking at her seriously."Y-yes.'She stands up.
        Shadow nods."Alright.Follow me and stick close."Soren walks behind him closely like she was told.She was used to someone holding her hand,remembering what Amy had said."Its for protective reasons!"She would say.Shadow notices her walking,seeing how she was nervous.He sighed and held out his hand.Soren looks up to see it in surprise,and takes his hand.He walks her to the library across town.They walked inside to see the librarian sitting in her seat.She smiled at the two,and Soren gazed back nervously."What book would you two like?"The librarian asked happily.Before Soren could answer,Shadow speaks."The Three Musketeers."Shadow says looking at the librarian.The librarian takes the book off the shelf."Excellent choice!"And what would you like little girl?"She looks at Soren,who was still a little nervous.Shadow notices and says,"Thats all.She wanted to read this one.".The librarian says,"Oh.Alright."She moves back to her desk,still smiling.
        Shadow walked over to a chair in the back and sat down.Soren begins to pull a chair out from the table nearby,by Shadow says,"You don't need that."Soren looks up in surprise.Shadow pats his leg."You could sit here."Soren walks over to him slowly and Shadow picks her up.He sets her down on his leg and opens the book in front of her."Ready?"Soren nods as he began to read.Soren began to relax after awhile,and laughed at all the funny parts.Shadow had even smiled a few times.Soren began to grow tired,she yawned.Other people were leaving the library till they were the only two left.Soren lays back into Shadow's arm.Her eyes began to close after a little while longer.Soren then begins to snore.Shadow stopped abruptly,and closes the book slowly.He picks Soren up and carries her as he gives the librarian the book back.The librarian smiled as she watched them leave.
        Shadow walked out into the night,carrying Soren home.The moonlight glistened on the sidewalk as he continued to walk.Soren would shiver occasionally and Shadow held her close.He eventually makes it back home,and puts her to bed.Everyone watches him head upstairs,and decides to stay out of the way.Shadow lays her down,and tucks her in.He leaves the room quietly and begins to walk down the hall slowly."Well?!I told you you would like her!"Amy says loudly.Shadow puts his finger to his lips.'Shhh."He points at Soren's bedroom door."She's asleep."Shadow walks past Amy to his own bedroom while Amy smiled watching.
