My Life (Omitting all of the personal stuff)

This is a story about my life and things, except I'm going to leave out all of the details like my name, hometown, and family member names.

Years 4-7

When I was four, I was reading at a 6th grade level. My math skills were about 3rd-4th grade, though. I hated math then, and hate math now! (Although, I am 11 years old and I do 9th grade math.)

My sister and I loved the movies Annie and Wizard of Oz. We have home videos of me and my sister singing "We're Off To See The Wizard". My sister loved singing all other songs. She was and is a drama queen!

I started pre-school. My teachers said I preferred to read in the reading loft all day instead of play with the other children. I remember that there was a boy there, named Aidan, who climbed up into the reading loft and said "Get down! This isn't a reading loft! It's our rocket ship!" It actually was a reading loft, though.

One time, my preschool teacher had to hold me down because I kept trying to climb back into my mom's car. I remember that's where I first learned the word "pry."

I started kindergarten. Our classroom had a small bathroom inside it, and once when I went to the bathroom, I was so scared that someone else was going to open the door and see me. I sat on the edge of the toilet so I could get up in case of emergency. However, I ended up peeing my pants. *sigh*

Our kindergarten teacher would give out licorice every afternoon. One afternoon, a boy started coughing and complaining about his stomach hurting. He threw up. For a while, I thought of him as "Throw up-y Boy", because I didn't know his real name (I was 5 years old; don't blame me!).

I was too advanced for kindergarten math, so the teacher gave me 1st grade math. She also sent me down to the 1st grade classroom for reading. I met a girl there, Bailey, who was my best friend.

During "Reading and Writing Time" in the kindergarten classroom, the teacher would have us draw a picture and then write a caption. I wrote things like "Uh-oh! The duck saw the king in his underpants when he got out of the shower." And everyone else wrote things like "This is an apple."

I started violin lessons when I was 5 years old, also.

I skipped the second half of first grade.
