Chapter 3.
Chapter 3.Do I want to leave? I just told Jasmine I like her and it turns out she likes me too. My mom wants an answer. Dad has been awfully nice for the past few days ever since mom showed up. He's even taking part in a rehab group thingy. I walked to my window and opened up my blinds. Then someone knocked softly on my door."Come in." I said staring out the window. "Morning sweetheart I brought you breakfast and I'm sorry for everything. The way I'd been treating you was horrible and I realise that now and I'm terribly sorry. Hope you like your breakfast I made pancakes. Love you." he said and walked out.
You don't know what you got till its gone? I think its you realise what you've got before you lose it. I sat at the corner of my bed and ate my breakfast silently. The pancakes were actually really good. I sipped on the juice slowly while staring out the window again deep in my thoughts. Maybe it wasn't time to give up yet. But I don't want to hurt moms feelings. While also keeping in mind she upped and left me behind.
I showered and slipped into comfortable homey clothes and took my skateboard to school. I took a seat at the back of the class in the corner near the window. Witnessing a pattern aren't you? I plugged in my earphones and listened to happy hurts by icon for hire. Everyone started rushing in at the second bell and took their seats. "Okay class you have an assignment this week and its forty percent of your grade I hope you don't take it lightly. I've assigned each of you a partner and the list is at the back of the class." Mrs Rodriguez said. I looked over my shoulder and noticed the list on the wall and my partner is......Alena! No, no, no there's been a mistake.
I rushed over to Mrs Rodriguez at her desk." Mam I believe there's been a mistake. I've been partnered with Alena." I said in a low voice. "It wasn't a mistake Elaine, is there something you want to tell me?" she asked. "No mam not at all." I said and walked back to my seat. "See you at your house, partner." she grinned.
