Ferndusk's Fate (chapter 2)

Chapter Two

Cats began to emerge from their dens and a mumur flowed over the camp "Whats going on?!" and "Is that Stormkit?!"
Violetdawn raced from the Nursery "Someone get Grasswhisker!" She wailed. Tinderstar padded onto the HighLedge his ticked
chestnut pelt fluffed upcas he tried to calm the Clan "Everyone calm down!" There was no need to call a meeting because everyone was already out but they looked up at their leader. Tinderstar continued "Grasswhisker is out collecting herbs" he looked over to Violetdawn who was pacing the edge of the ditch her eyes wild with worry. Blossomkit at her side. "But first, how did this happen?" He looked over to the kits. Blossomkit stepped foward her head hung "W-we were playing. An-and I pushed him and he lost his balance" she mewed avoiding everyone's gaze. Violetdawn looked at her kit in surprise "You did this?!" While Tinderstar continued Fernkit slipped away toward the ditc and slipped in standing over Stormkit. "Lionroar, Silverfire, and Lilythorn, fetch Grasswhisker" all three nodded and headed out of camp. Fernkit sniffed Stormkit. He had small scrapes all over his body and one particularly bad one one his hind leg that must have hit a rock because it was twisted st an odd angle. "I remember when Twigkit scratched himself" she mewed to herself "Dock and... Marigold. I think." She whispered she climbed out of the ditch and toward the Medicine Cat Den. She sniffed and a tangy scent wafted into her nose "Dock" she picked up a couple leaves. A yellow flower caught her eye and she grabbed it as well "Marigold" she began to exit the den. " I think thats it" "Ow!" She looked down at the small black seed she had stepped on. "Oh poppy seeds!" She took a couple in her mouth the bounded back to the ditch and slowly made her way down and dropped the herbs next to Stormkit. "What do I do now?" Suddenly there was a rustle in the bushes and a deep mew rang out across the camp"Where is he?!" Violetdawn looked up along with everyone else "Grasswhisker!" They all cried.
