Straigtening Things Out
Hoodie came up to Rose. "Are you okay?" He grabbed her shoulders, and looked at her arms. "Did he hurt you?" EJ pulled her back. "She's fine. A wolf saved her. I made sure she was okay." Masky blushed. EJ scowled, and slapped the back of his head. "Get your head out of the gutter, you idiot!" Rose didn't move. EJ put his arm around her shoulders. "Come on, let's go inside." Rose smiled, and fell. EJ gasped. "What happened?" She got up. "I just hurt my ankle." Jane helped her up. "I'll get ice." Jane ran in. EJ hugged her. "I thought you were dead. Don't do that again. Let me help you." Rose shook her head."I'm not letting anyone else get hurt because of me. But if I take you, you don't stand back. You come with, in case I fall again." Rose stood her ground. EJ nodded. Then he smiled. Rose paled. "E-! Hey!" He picked her up. "I'm hungry!" He set her down by a tree, and tickled her. She giggled. Jane came out. "What are you two doing?" EJ smiled. "Tickling Rose." Jane ran over. Rose cuaght her breath. Jane smiled, and held Rose's hand behind her back. Rose giggled. EJ kept tickling her. "Jane! How could you betray me like that? No... EJ! But it out!"
Jane smiled. "Oh, look, whoops! I guess I picked the wrong person to help!" Rose laughed. "EJ! Cut... Cut it out!" Rose couldn't breath. EJ stopped, and Jane let go. Rose laid down, gasping. "Jane! How could you?" Jane giggled. "I'm sorry. But you haven't laughed that hard in a long while. You needed it. EJ nodded. "I wanted to hear your laugh again." Jane smiled. Rose blushed. "Please, you two are being ridiculous. I laugh like a dying mule." EJ looked at her. "Listen, I know you. It's beautiful." Jane gave her the ice.
"For your ankle." Jane walked away. "I'll tell everyone to leave you be. You need to talk." Rose tilted her head in confusion. EJ kissed her. "We need to talk. Slendy is worried about you. You've been rushing into battle. I know you aren't." He looked down. "Everyone thinks you are suicidal from the memory of your sister." Rose gasped. "I am not! I live for my sister. I don't want to see her until way later." EJ hugged her. "I told everyone that." He sunk into her arms.
"You could've died. And I stayed back, gaping at open air. I could've saved you! I just want to be a hero. But me, an innocent killer. Be a hero." Rose smiled, understanding. "EJ, stop trying. It gets annoying, and you are already my hero. You've helped me more times than I can imagine. Okay?" He kissed her, and she smiled.
