Chapter Four
"All cats old enough to climb, please gather around for a clan meeting!" Volestar yowled, "today we greet a new warrior into our clan!". "Flamingpaw please step up, Doeriver says you are ready to become a warrior" Volestar meowed as Flamingpaw stepped up next to him, "from now until you might get you elder name, you shall be know as Flamingwhisper"."FLAMINGWHISPER, FLAMINGWHISPER!!" cheers rose up from the cats, and then crowded around their clanmate. "Better start watching your guarding tree" Thornpelt meowed as cats headed to their dens, "want to be true warrior? Better do it then". "I will" and with that Flamingwhisper padded into the forest.
Flamingwhisper walked through the forest, his senses alert. 'CRACK' Flamingwhisper spun around, a shadowy figure was coming closer. "How dare you come on Forest Clan!" Flamingwhisper yowled as he flung himself at the figure. "PIGEONKIT, STEP BACK!" the figure shouted, and went into battle.
"Stonefeather?" Flamingwhisper meowed, as his brother leaped out of the shadows. "Flamingpaw?" Stonefeather gasped as he leaped out of the shadow. The two toms stopped, and stared. "Urm, what were you doing in the shadows?" Flamingwhisper asked, then added, "It's Flamingwhisper now!". "Well I was protecting some cat" Stonefeather replied, at that moment Pigeonkit stumbled out of a bush. "You were protecting him?!" Flamingwhisper gasped, "he's not your kit right?". "Grown-up talk!" Pigeonkit shrieked and cuddled next his dad. "No! I found him" Stonefeather lied, "I decided to take him to camp, some cat will take care of him". Flamingwhisper nodded, "Do you want me to walk you to camp?" Flamingwhisper asked, "I'm willing to". "Nah, we're fine" Stonefeather scooped up Pigeonkit and padded towards camp. Flamingwhisper watched his brother until he was merely a speck.
As Flamingwhisper padded further into his territory, he heard whispers. He quickly found a bush, and strained his ears to hear. "Tigerscars our plan is finally coming together! We've made the fake prophecies, we've threatened, we've sent cats on a pointless journey, and we've murdered!" a she-cat meowed, " ever since I saw Stonefeather with Nightwing, I've grown onto you". "Oh Amberleaf your perfect! What would I do without you" Tigerscars purred, "I-". Tigerscars was cut off by a 'CRACK'.
"SOME CATS HERE! SHOW YOURSELF!" Tigerscars yowled. Flamingwhisper ran, ran for dear life.
When he got back to camp it was dawn.
And when he had the warriors den to himself he cried, "I'm not who I thought I was!".
