London - New School

London was shocked when she got her letter. Still, here she was, ready to enter the enormous school building. She had been talked into this by her crazy hyper mother. London was the opposite. She was antisocial and quiet. She only had a passion for one thing, band. She loved instruments. She was good with them too. She had been born with a talent for almost any musical instrument you could name. She assumed that was what had gotten her into this weird elite school. Her band expertise. She wasn't ready, though. She knew that these "gifted" kids would be better than her in every way. Plus, this was a boarding school. She was stuck here. She hoped Ivine Academy had a band. If not she was dropping out. There was no way she was making any friends at this school. As she walked to the large door a girl with light brown hair walked up to her.
" Hi!" The girl said with a smile. " I'm Blaire! Nice to meet you!" London looked down. She was not in the mood for this " socializing".
" London." She replied. " This school seems weird." The other girl, Blaine smiled.
" It seems like an experience!" God, this girl sounded just like her mom. London wasn't that talented and she didn't want to go to a school with talented kids! " I'm a painter." Blaire said. " That's how I got here. You?"
" I guess I'm good with instruments." London replied.
" You excited?" London stared at the ground. " That's okay, I'm nervous too." Blaire replied. " Wow!" She continued. " You're so pretty! Can I paint you?"
" Umm no thanks." Blaire shrugged.
" Maybe next time!" She said.
" Maybe."
" I hope we're in the same dorm!"
" I hope so." London cracked a smile as both girls headed through the doors into the school.
