Chapter 3

Chapter 3
When I reached the execution room, in that exact moment, I felt like time slowed down and I was too slow. I was exhausted but all that didn’t matter. Right now, all that mattered was getting my mother out if this mess safe and sound and avenging Violet’s parents. All that mattered was getting that rope around my mother’s neck off and to destroy every guard that laid a finger on my mother. But she was too far away and my aim was terrible so I raised my hand and yelled out my words of attack ‘Shitomemasu’ and the at the tip of my fingers and my palm, I felt a warm tingling feeling as I raised my hand up focusing all my attention on that rope. A tiny blue ball of electricity was floating above my hand ‘I need more power’ I thought ‘more…power…’ I said under my breath and with all my might, I forced that little ball to grow and grow. Slowly but surely, it grew bigger and bigger. Its growing light attracted the attention of the guards and they charged towards me. ‘Not now… anytime but now’ I managed to say under my breath. As they quickly drew closer, I blasted them with another spell ‘Furai’ I said with all my might. ‘LEAVE.’ I said ‘you’re making me multitask…’ and I heard the feint sound of them flying off and I released all my power. That small ball of electricity was now the size of three grown men and was flying through the air. Whizzing past the guards it cut the rope tied around my mother’s neck and she dropped to the floor and the ball, once it did its job, it flew high in the air and electrocuted all of the guards in the humongous room. And I ran towards my mother and as I drew closer, I saw the terrifying gash on my mother’s left arm.

‘Mom!’ I screamed, ‘it’s ok Lucy’ she said, cradling me in her arms ‘its ok…’ and she fell to the ground. ‘Mom!’ I screamed once more and I caught her before she fell. With what little power I had left, I quickly said the worlds of a healing spell ‘Iyashimasu.’ I said. Exhausted, I dropped to my knees and looked at the gash on her arm that was slowly fading away.

ELLIOT’S POINT OF VEIW

‘Lucinda!’ I called out. ‘Where is she?’ I thought my mind racing. ‘Lucinda!’ I called out once more. Then I heard a big ‘BANG’ and the hall of cells and families grew silent. a scream followed and I heard a cry and then I saw someone transform into their werewolf state. As the fear lurking inside of me grew and grew, at the end of the hall of cells, I saw an enormous flood of guards and hunters flood the room, their guns blazing. There was a loud panic and parents fled with their families and some decided to fight back, there was so much blood. Blood of each race and they fought and clawed at each other. Multiple spells were said, many transformed, some bit and scratched. My mother took my hand and I watched my father charge at a hunter and transform into his wolf state. Then she picked me up and I called ‘Father come on!’ but I know he wasn’t coming ‘Father!’ I cried out again as we got lost in the wave of families, desperate to escape.  We managed to get outside and as we reached the gate of the prison, we saw the legendary Beatrix Spellwik, Lucinda’s aunt. ‘Calm down everyone!’ she yelled. Beatrix Spellwik was known for leading the largest witch coven and having the strongest ally with Evan Lupus (leader of the strongest wolf tribe) and Angelica Blackrose (master of the most powerful brood of vampires) . ‘Come with me!’ she said ‘I have a place for all of you to stay. Witches, follow me. Werewolves and vamps, I have summoned Evan and Angelica here to help you all out” I looked behind her, and emerging from the shadows, was the 2 legendary people. Evan scanned the crowd and caught my eye and smiled ‘ is there anyone still in the building?’ Beatrix asked ‘Lucinda!’ I called out and other parents and children called out family and friends. The three rushed into the building. This was war.
