Is this the end

"He's OK right?" one voice asked with a nervous tone.
"Yes he's OK but.."Said a male voice.
"What?" The other voice said again.
"He may not be able to use legs again" the second male voice said sadly.
He could never use his legs again!
Josh was suddenly awake he was slowly coming to, very slowly opening his eyes.
"Shh he's waking up" The male voice said as Josh slowly opened his eyes.
Josh finally had his eyes open now, he looked around, he'd see a male doctor and a female figure beside him but Josh could not make out who they were because his vision was still blurry.
"H-hey Josh" The female spoke suddenly, he knew that voice! It was his sister!
"J-Jess?" Josh replied slowly and quietly.
"What were you thinking?" She then asked him "You know what the doctors said"
"Please miss let us deal with this" The doctor said "but Josh what was that you ignored my warning"
Josh didn't answer knowing that he had tried to win, but it all came down to the fact...he failed to win, and on top of all of that...he had lost hid legs in the process.
"I can't run again can I?" He finally said to them slowly turning his head to look at them.
The doctor paused for a second and look around a bit before saying "it doesn't look that way son, I don't think so"
Josh turned back to face his front and looked in shock, his career was over, he could no longer run or even walk. He'd have to be in a wheel chair and he'd never be able to do what he did best or even what he wanted to be.
"It's over then" He said at last to him self.
His sister then sat on the bed next to him clutching his hand. "Hey it's not over" she said to him softly "We may just need to change a few things is all"
Josh pulled his hand away "Yeah 'cause it's all going to be fine, I'll just change all hopes and dreams, just like that"
Sudden silence hit the room as the doctor walked out "I'll get everything ready" he said as he walked out.
They both looked at the door hearing voices "It's looks like your friends are here to see you" Jess said as Kate, Will and Chris walked in.
"Hey!" They all said as they walked in.
Jess replied to them "Hey guys"
Josh slowly looked at them and said "Hey"
Kate said "So he gonna be OK right"
Jess paused then slowly spoke "W-well he's going to be OK bu-"
Josh interrupted with anger "I can't walk or run anymore!" He then paused "I have damaged my legs beyond repair and there's nothing anyone can do!"
Kate then sat on the bed beside him next to Jess "Hey it's not that bad"
Josh looked up at her and just stared at her.
She then said to him "Your still here with me, with us and that's all we need, is you"
This made Josh pause but he lashed out at the comment "Why do you guys even care just leave me alone!"
Jess stood and looked at him and so did Chris and Will, they knew what this meant to him.
But Kate didn't give in to him "You can shut us all out all you want but I'll sit here knocking until you open up"
Josh looked away and paused again, Kate was good at this, she always knew how to pick at him, always able to make him think.
"Look everything I wanted to do and wanted to be is over that's it I can't do any of them!....It's over" He said after thinking about it.
Kate however didn't think, she just leaned over and kissed him on the cheek. There was a silence as she did but she stood and walked out of the room followed by Jess and the others.
Josh sat there alone and in thought. He just looked down at the part of the bed were his legs were.
He turned hearing someone walk in, it was the doctor and a nurse but the nurse was holding a folded wheel chair.
"OK Josh this i-" The doctor went to say but Josh stuck his hand up and slowly sat up.
"I know what it is and what i have to do" He said coldly.
The nurse then walked to him unfolding the wheel chair,she then placed it by the bed next to him.
Josh then used his arms to slowly turn his body, while the nurse pulled his legs over the side of the bed.
She then slowly helped him onto the chair saying "Your really light for a 16 year old"
Josh didn't respond he just slowly put his hands on the wheels of the chair.
The doctor then moved out the way of the door letting Josh slowly pass him in the chair.
Josh met up with Jess and they slowly made their way to the main door while Jess said "Come on lets get you home Matt's going to take us in his car"
Josh again did not say anything as they went outside to Matt's car.
This was what Josh was really thinking about....What was next?
