Don't Stop Running

The finale

Jackie and Josh were running after Wilson. This was their chance to end this war. Just one more obstacle. Josh ran into a small room following Wilson but someone jumped out at him. Josh jumped back and was against a wall looking at the last person he wanted to see. Jake. They looked at each other.
"Jackie go I have a sore to settle" Josh told her. She nodded and ran off.
"Well Josh you look different. You lost some weight?" Jake said chucking Josh a sword. "Lets settle this" Josh nodded and picked up the sword. They looked at each other readying them selves. They then ran at each other. Josh sent his sword low know his disadvantage. Jake blocked it and pushed Josh back, Josh then waited. Jake sent his sword up and to the side. He brought it down and Josh blocked it with his leg with a straight kick. Josh push Jake sword off to the side and sent his sword forward, Jake dodged it by jumping back.
"Seems your better than I thought you were" Jake mocked and readied himself again.
"Much better" Josh said then jumped forward, sending his sword forward. Jake blocked it and was pushed back by the force, Josh kicked Jake in the chest. Jake went backwards and staggered. Josh ran at him and shouted "This ends now" He slashed Jake across the chest. Jake fell to the floor slowly. Josh walked to him. He brought his sword up. "If it wasn't for you I wouldn't be here" He told him and slashed Jake's head off. Jake's body fell and was now laying with out a head on the floor. Josh turned and started to run after Jackie. He came up the stairs to find Jackie against the wall being strangled by Wilson. Josh ran faster at Wilson and knocked him off Jackie ramming him to the floor. Josh put his hand out to Jackie who was rubbing her throat, she grabbed his hand and he pulled her up.
"You know Josh you could have been my best soldier" Wilson shouted at him. Josh walked closer to him and they started circle each other.
"I don't care what I could have become, your only using us to make yourself look good!" Josh yelled at Wilson.
"How would you know what I was trying to do?!" Wilson yelled back. They both stopped and Wilson was by a window.
"You tried to kill me after I got that chip, what else do I need to know?" Josh yelled back getting ready to run at him. Jackie saw what he was trying to do and walked to him. But it was too late. Josh ran at Wilson and tackled him out the window. The window smashed, Josh and Wilson went through. Josh went to reach for the edge but missed by an inch. Jackie dived and caught him by the hand. They both held on. Josh looked down and saw Wilson holding on to his leg.
"It's over Wilson" Josh yelled at him. "You have lost" Wilson still held on to his leg.
"No you have lost. You forget I gave you a second chance" Wilson still held on yelling at him.
"Your right" Josh raised his other leg. "And I don't want it" Josh kicked the leg Wilson was holding on to. Wilson still held on and Josh looked up.
He saw Jackie struggling to hold them. "Jackie let go" Josh said to her.
She looked down on him. "No way not after what's happened" She was slowly loosing her grip.
"You have no other choice" Josh let go but Jackie caught him by the hand. "Jackie just let go"
"No I have lost everyone and I'm not loosing anyone else" She was slowly slipping. "Don't make me do that" Josh looked up and smiled. Jackie tried to hold on but she lost her grip. Josh fell along with Wilson. Jackie put her hand out "No!". But it was too late Josh was falling and there was nothing she could do. As Josh fell he put his legs out straight and Wilson fell in front of him. Wilson hit the ground with a splat and there was nearly nothing left of him. Josh landed soon after smacking his legs on the ground first. His right leg smashed and the left was just barely working. Josh nearly passed out from the pain but was still alive. Jackie looked down and saw he was alive, she smiled and ran all the way down the stairs, then out the front door. Josh moved back and got up against the wall and sat up. Jackie ran to him. "Josh!"Josh looked up with a smile as Jackie sat beside him.
Josh put his head against the wall. "Sorry about Craig" He said to her turning his head.
3 guys came over as Jackie said to him. "Don't be, you tried" 2 of the guys helped Josh into a VTOL and the other helped Jackie. The VTOL took off and Jackie and Josh for once were happy. They did it they ended the war before it could really start.
2 mouths later it was time to remember those who left.
"They leave behind family and friends" Josh said to the people who had attained the funeral he was sat in a wheel chair with one leg and one arm left, he was torn apart but still had spirit. "Jess was my sister, I loved her she was the only person I had left with me after my mum passed away. She was always there and still will be...Craig. He was a brave and strong man never giving up and never afraid to ask for help. He was a friend to me and that's all I knew him as but he was a dam good one" He spun in his wheel chair and put his hand on each coffin for 10 seconds. Jackie walked up to him and got behind the wheel chair. She pushed him along and to a car were Kate was waiting. "You know you ain't going to be a fighter anymore right?" Jackie told him.
Josh looked at her and just said. "That's what I said the first time"
Could Josh be a soldier again? Or was this really it for him? Josh was strong but not unstoppable. But he always had his friends.
