Kingu
I walk into the room, scared. It's all red too, but it's a lot bigger than the room I was in this morning, I can't even see the other side."W-where are we going??" I say with a stutter.
"To see Kingu." He looks at me for a second, " We are going to see the king." He says to explain.
"Oh, why does the king want to see me?" I say.
"You know, I've been watching you for three months now, and not once have you used them." He says.
"Used what...?" I say confused. What does this have to do with the king, I wonder. I decide not to ask. "Wait, did you say that you were watching me?"
He stops suddenly and looks at me for a second before turning and walking through the room.
"You didn't even use them when your dad threw you down those steps, you just got up."
"Stop," I grab his arm, "what do you mean you were watching me? And what am I not using?"
He turns and gently releases my hand from his arm. " I mean that I was assigned to keep watch over you for the last couple of months. If you would just wait all your questions will be answered shortly."
"When we see the king?"
"Yeah, he wants to talk to you personally," he says. "He has some questions about you."
"I'm guessing that you aren't going to tell me what he wants to know, are you?" I say, knowing the answer already.
"Just wait." He says, "You sure are an impatient little thing aren't you?"
I just look at him, surprised, he sounded almost... brotherly?
"What?" He says, confused.
"Nothing."
We finally made it to a door at the end of the room.
Meishu opens the door and addresses someone standing beside what seems to be a window, but there is just a wall on the other side.
Meishu steps forward, "I brought the girl, Kingu, would you like me to stay while you speak?"
Kingu looks at him and says, "No, I would like to speak to Isabella on my own."
"I will have the guard waiting outside in case of any incidents," Meishu says with a glance my way.
I look back at the king scared, "What do you want from me?"
"Be calm child, no harm will come to you as long as you follow the rules." He says.
"The rules?"
"You may not harm anyone, you may not use your powers unless you are instructed to do so, and you may not leave your room without permission and someone with you." He says calmly.
"Powers, I don't have any powers, you must be mistaken," I say confused yet again.
He walks toward me and I back away.
"I have already told you that no harm will come to you, why are you afraid?"
My back hits the wall. "Please just leave me alone," I say.
He is now right in front of me and he reaches up and touches my temple.
"What are you doing?" I say, flinching away.
"You have managed to wall off your powers without even knowing that you had them in the first place. Not even our most talented Majishan can do that, they were right to bring you here." He looks up, realizing that I have no idea what he is talking about.
"The Majishan are magicians, in a sense. They seek out other powerful entities and inform me of them while also keeping Xeno safe from harm."
"And they saw me...? But I can't even do anything."
"You will be able to." He says.
