Chapter 1

One day I was walking around, just in time to find a cat, it had long, golden fur. It was beautiful, I took it home and refused to return it. For many years I kept it in my room, until one day my brother, Alex, walked in and let the cat loose, it ran down the hall and up into my parent's room, I heard a loud scream, it was my father, he was terrified of cats, for when he was a child he brought a cat in his house and it ended up having rabies.
My father ran out of the room screaming as my mother picked up the cat and slowly walked towards my brother and I, her face was bright red, she started picking up some speed walking faster and faster towards us, holding the cat in one arm and petting it with the other. Her curly brown hair was now bouncing in the wind, when she got to us she dropped the cat into my arms and told me, " If you EVER bring another animal in this house without my ok, you will be grounded for at LEAST 4 months, no T.V, friends, or hanging out. Just you, homework, and a bunch of house chores. You understand me?" I practically fainted, her eyes were glaring at me as she yelled at my brother to go to his room, I could tell that I was now in deep trouble.
