Centuries in hours (also authors note)

"Don't feel down, I'm sure he did this for a reason. Is there anything else bugging you?"
I nodded.
"Y-yeah.."
"Whats wrong then? I'm always here if you need to talk."
I looked down, and hesitated.
"My sister, Xiamara, is in the army and, well... We're going to war with another land and she hasn't gotten back to me yet, and I'm worried for her... Even though she is a skilled fighter she still has her weaknesses."
Scratch wrapped a wing around my shoulders, almost like a hug.
"Hey, I'm sure it will be alright. Maybe she's just busy? After all, war is a very tiring thing. It can take up a lot of your time."
I smiled a little.
"Yeah, it is... Its just.. I want to see her again. I miss her a lot, and I want to make sure she's ok before she goes onto the battlefield as a backup..."
"Then I'm sure it'll be-" Scratch was interrupted as the crystal suddenly glowed. Darkness shot from the crystal, and went onto the ground. it formed into a body, and quickly appeared as Nightmare. He gasped and sat up.
"T-that was terrible, I regret my decision deeply."
"Oh look, he's back." Scratch said.
Instant relief soared through me.
"Nightmare!!"
I ran and hugged him tightly, all of my worry vanishing in a instant. He blinked, surprised. After a moment he hugged me back. I could be wrong, but he looked like he was blushing.
"H-hey, is everything ok?"
"Never do that again!! I-I was so worried..." I kept hugging him, not wanting to let go.
"I'm sorry.. I didn't know it would make you this upset."
"Either way I'm glad your back and not stuck in that crystal forever.."
He smiled reassuringly, still awkwardly hugging me back.
"I wouldn't be stuck forever. Maybe a few centuries at the most. Either way I'm back now, everything's fine. I just feel sort of dizzy, that's it."
"Good... I don't want to lose you."
Nightmare paused, then he kissed my forehead and hugged me more.
"You won't."
My face felt warm, and I closed my eyes, still holding onto him.
Scratch smiled.
"You guys are pretty cute together."
Nightmare pulled away and looked at him, a bit embarrassed.
"Why are you here?"
"He helped comfort me when I was upset."
"Ok then, I guess its fine." He held me again, and I blushed. I hugged him back, still recovering from the worry. I felt so safe in his arms, and I felt understood. I knew it was probably foolish, but, well, it felt right being with him. And that's all that mattered in the moment.
Scratch spoke.
"What happened in there?"
Nightmare sighed.
"Nothing. That's the thing. My whole body felt cold and then next thing I knew I was floating among the dark. I was confused for a bit, it felt like my mind was being put in a microwave. But then I found my way out again. to put it simply, it felt like I died all over again."
Then he mumbled, and Scratch couldn't hear it, but I could.
"And I would rather be here then in there again..."
I smiled brightly.
"I'll leave you two be. I think Blaise is going to get up soon, and I am scared of what horrors she'll make in the kitchen when I'm not there." He walked away, leaving us alone.
We just sat there, enjoying each others company and watching the sun arc across the sky. It was really nice, and part of me wanted it to be like this forever. Then I remembered.
"Oh yeah! I wanted to give you this!" A rose appeared in my hand. each petal had a different shade, with red, black, and white. I continued, "It's a rose that never dies."
Nightmare blushed and took it, looking at it. After a moment he smiled at me.
"Its beautiful."
I smiled back, happy that he was happy. He looked a bit lost in thought, however, and it made me wonder.
"Thank you.. It reminded me of you, and I made it myself!"
Then he surprised me by kissing my cheek. I blushed a lot, not expecting it.
"Well I love it."
"I-I'm glad."
He stretched, yawning.
"Man its already getting late? Welp, I guess that's what happens when you sit around all day."
I giggled a little.
"Yeah."

Shush I know this is going really quick, and that time does NOT pass by that quickly, but there is a TON of plot I need to get done and the thing I'm using as plot went fast too so THERE!
