Chapter IV -- Loki

The girl shrinks back, the crazed and evil expression cleared from her face. She whispers something, but I can't quite register the quiet sound.
Thor gives me a dark look, obviously still convinced that I'm to blame. The stupid oaf. He's so reckless! And he blames everything on me just because I'm the younger. There is no way in Helheim that he is fit to rule a kingdom.
Then the girl's face contorts. It almost seems monstrous. She opens her mouth and screams, shouting like the world was collapsing.
Seconds later, she closes her mouth and shifts back to normal, panting for breath.
Everything blurs. I slowly feel a dull throbbing in my chest. I look down to see red.
Lots of red.
I slip from consciousness...
