Beth
I looked at Howard then at the new girl then back at Howard. "Hi Beth." Howard said waving at the girl. "Oh, Cunningham, this is my old friend Beth." He said. She looked at me and blushed. "Come and have a seat." Howard said pulling Beth between me and Howard. She looked very uncomfortable. "So... you still playing soccer?" Howard asked. "No. I broke my leg and stopped playing." Beth said. "Hey Cunningham! Why don't we take Beth with us to the arcade with us after school?" Howard suggested. I gave her a smile. "Sure." I said. I have to admit, she cute, but I don't know that I would have a crush on her. She gave me a crooked smile. The bell rang and we all ran out of the school. We raced over to the arcade, but I slowed down the pace for Beth. She suddenly flew past me and Howard and beat us to the arcade. She had her back to the wall and smiled at us. "What took you so long slugs?" She asked. Howard and I glared at her. "Slugs?!" We both said. She laughed and went into the arcade. We followed in and saw her playing a game already. She was playing Zombie Graveyard. "Good luck beating this game Beth. Even Cunningham cant win this-""You win! Congratulations!" The video game said. Me and Howard's mouths dropped open. She smiled and her face went on the Hole of Fame, replacing me! "Ha! You got beat by Beth!" Howard laughed. Beth blushed and looked down. Me and Howard spotted a new dancing game. It was a two player game and me and Howard raced off. Beth followed behind and handed us tokens. "Thanks, but-"
"Just take them." Beth said placing the tokens in my hand. "Thanks." I said. She gave me a crooked smile and blushed. I put the tokens in and me and Howard started to dance. "Hey Beth! Who do you think is going to win?"
"Randy. Sorry Howard, but I've seen you dance." Beth said. Howard frowned. "But I thought we were friends?"
"Sorry Howard, but chicks cant resist me." I said. Beth's face turned bright red. For a girl, she sure does blush a lot. I think she may like. The song ended and, of course, I won. Beth gave me a high-five and congratulated me. Howard frowned and crossed his arms. "Aw, come on Howie." Beth said. "Don't be such a sore loser."
"Fine." Howard said. Beth's phone rang and she picked it up. "Hello? Oh, ok. I'm on my way." She said. She hung up and frowned. "I have to go." She said. "Bye Beth."
"Yeah, bye Beth. See you tomorrow." I said. She waved bye and left.
