The Rose

"And the queen is... Beth Azredale!" They said. Beth looked shocked and walked up to receive her crown. "And the king is... Bash Johnson!" No! Beth is suppose to be mine not Bash's! "Yeah! Alright!" Bash said walking up to receive his crown. These things are suppose to end happily! Not let-the-bad-guy-steal-your-girl! Beth took off her crown and did what we all thought she wouldn't. "I don't want to be queen if Bash is king." She said. Everyone gasped while Bash looked pretty mad. "What! Why?"

"Because, one, you're a jerk. Two, I don't like you and three, I already have a date and it's NOT you." She said tossing the crown on the ground. She hopped off the sage and walked over to me. "Well, then that means that Heidi Weinerman is queen." They said. Heidi squealed and snatched the crown and put it on her head. "Why did you do that?" I asked. "Do you really think that I would dump you for Bash?" She asked. "I didn't know what to think." I answered. She smiled and tugged my arm. "Come on, I need to show you something." She said. She dragged me outside to her locker. "What is it?" I asked. She opened her locker and showed me a rose. "It's a magic rose. It tells you your mood." She says handing the rose to me. I took the rose and the rose turned from red to pink. "What does pink mean?"

"I means you're in love." She said blushing. I blushed and handed back the rose. "No you keep it. It's a gift from me to you." She said pushing the rose back. "Thanks, now I wish that I had something for you." I said. I looked at her and smiled. "What?" She asked. I leaned in. "I have a gift for you." I whispered. I leaned in closer, but HOWARD had to come and ruin everything. "Break it up!" He said. I back away from Beth and glared at Howard. "Twice already Howard, twice!"

"What? Two times you tried to kiss Beth, but fail?" Howard asked glaring at me. I glared back at Howard clutching the rose. The rose turned to black now and Beth pulled me away from Howard. "He's not worth it Randy." She said. "Black mean angry." She said pointing at the rose. My face turned red and I sighed. The rose turned to red and Beth smiled. "Red means normal." She said. I smiled back and the rose turned to pink. "Time to say bye you guys. The dance is over." Howard said. I looked at Beth and waved. "Bye Bethy."

"Bye Randy." She said waving. I walked home that night with the rose lying on my bedpost.
