Dark Herbs

Dark herbs, true to their name, are used for purposes of poison and dark magic only. They can only be collected by people who are a part of the Sacred Dark Ones - that's a secret group that can only be found by people with poisoned hearts. By entering, you are granted eternal life, but are forced to satisfy their leader's every need.

Metal Thorn

Metal Thorns are not as deadly as most Dark herbs, but they do paralyze you. To use them, one grounds them into a fine powder. This powder is sprinkled over the victim's clothing, and all the while the user is chanting a secret chant. Once this is done, the powder turns invisible. The only way to tell if Metal Thorn powder is on your clothing is to mix one crushed Goldenrod flower with a teaspoon of lemon juice. If you drip that over your clothes, you will be able to tell if Metal Thorn powder is there or not. If it is there, the clothing will glow with a grayish light. If this happens, dispose of your clothes immediately or risk being paralyzed for two hours.


Venomous Saucer

This plant is named for its saucer-like shape. It's purple, with black dots. If someone were to use it, all they'd have to do is touch it. Once that is done, the Venomous Saucer turns white and develops every property that a normal saucer has. The user puts whatever food they'd like on it, and then they serve it to the victim. However, it is not only the victim who will perish. Everyone who eats from the saucer will die, also. The user must be wearing gloves while carrying out this procedure, or else they will also perish.


Bubbling Mist

Bubbling Mist is the most dangerous Dark herb of all. No one can harvest it except for the Reapers, which are dwarves clothed in black that hold spears. They are believed to be minions of the Grim Reaper. A single touch from one of them will cause your skin to turn black and leathery, and the Reaper parasite will take over your mind. You will become one of them. But the Bubbling Mist is even worse than that. It will transport you to a time when you felt the greatest fear, and force you to stay there for eternity. The scene will repeat itself over and over again. If you do anything different that the original time, the Reapers will kill you in your sleep.
