I woke up this morning to the sound of sirens. What had happened? Was I dead? The constant fear of death always rung through my head, I was never dead though. As soon as I got out of bed my mother came rushing in telling me my father had been struck by a car on his way to work. The sirens were the police urging my mother to go to the hospital as soon as possible. I sat there, motionless. My mother looked like she wanted a response as she continued rambling on about not going to school and how it would affect my grades. Honestly, all I want is to see my father.Soon enough my sister comes dashing down the hallway, as usual yelling at my mother for breakfast. I guess since she's only four she wouldn't quite understand yet. As she continues screaming my mother is trying to calm her down telling her we have to go to the hospital... and that were gonna get McDonalds. That'll shut her up. Of course now she's rambling about about what she wants from McDonalds. I guess you can never get a child to be quiet.
Its been about an hour and were waiting for my father to get out of surgery. I guess he was struck pretty bad. My little sister continues to ramble on about herself missing school. At least she doesn't go to the same school as I do and never will due to the age gap.
Well I guess we'll just keep waiting...
