The Center of The Earth
“Are we dead?” asked Sara. “I don’t think so.” said Amy. “Oh no, oh no!” groaned Nicole, “Once we get into the realm, we can’t get out until we get the crystal key!”. A hiss interrupted them, a red python slithered up to them, Amy drew her bow and was about to shoot it when it talked;“Born from the depths and liquid fire. The warriors will destroy the obsidian spire, the three will fall to the center of the earth, and witness the great Snake King’s birth. A sacrifice must be made, the oath must be kept. The child of flame will ensure that Death slept. Time will be stopped, a friend will be lost. Restore the heart of the underworld or pay the cost”
Then, it melted into shadow and disappeared. “Was that a prophecy?” Sara asked. “I think so.” Nicole said. “What are we supposed to do now?” Amy complained, “Cherry flavored snakes spout prophecies now?! We need to leave!”. A sudden clicking sound broke the silence. The ground rumbled and a skeletal hand erupted from the red dirt. A skeleton warrior, complete with a bloody set of bones, a rusted sword (still looking quite sharp), and empty, glowing eye sockets crawled out. “SPARTUS!” yelled Nicole. “I thought Spartoi were myths!” Amy cried. “These realms hold all the nightmares of the living and the dead including those of people millenia ago.” Nicole said. “Which means… oh god,” Sara’s eyes went wide. “What did you just think of?” Amy demanded. Suddenly, a bunch of monsters popped up all around. There was Slenderman, Sadako, Siren Head, Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, Foxy, Circus Baby, Nightmarionne, Puppet, Ennard and many more that they didn’t know the name of. Nicole and Amy glared at Sara, “Oops?” she mumbled. Ennard said, “Hi, I’m Ennard and I’ll be your innards,” his stomach opened revealing a huge spoon with razor sharp edges. Sara and Nicole changed forms and Amy nocked an arrow and fired. Chaos broke out, the battle was going excitingly well when Sara cornered Slenderman. She pounced and landed on him with a thump; she started to raise a paw but he spoke. It was a hoarse whisper, “You're going to kill me aren’t you,” he rasped, “like all the other barbarians who misunderstood me, you never bothered to learn my past, Sara.”. “H-how do you know my name?” Sara asked, “I was an orphan, Granny raised me; the stories say that she treated me well, they were wrong, I was abused every day. Every morning I expected a knife at my throat, but I survived, I killed her. I found a wife and was happy for the first time when everything changed. She was cursed to have a child who carried bad luck and great sorrow. She had a daughter named Slenderina, I thought the curse was a lie; Slederina was so beautiful that I thought the curse was wrong. But everything changed. Humans. They always were suspicious of me because I liked the haunted woods. They killed my wife, they pumped chemicals and poison into our house and locked us in. The chemicals turned me into THIS MONSTER!” he clawed at his face, “ they told everyone that it was my wife and daughter’s fault, they said that they faked death and I killed myself out of grief.”. Sara slowly stepped off him and he rose to his full height, his tentacles writhing. He started to laugh hysterically, “This always works with mortals,” he whispered smugly. His tentacles shot at Sara with blinding speed and she didn’t react fast enough, the tentacles wrapped around her waist and lifted her up. Slenderman pulled her towards him and opened his mouth, a gaping hole filled with long fangs, he reached to bite Sara’s head off but suddenly, he jerked violently. An arrow sprouted from his chest and he dropped to the floor, his tentacles hanging limp; arrows started to rain down on the monsters and amazingly, no arrows hit Sara, Nicole or Amy. When all of the monsters were dead, a voice came from the rock cliff overlooking the battle ground, “If you three want to live, come with me.”.
