Changed (for now until I can think)

Changed (for now until I can think)

Nikki always wanted to run away. Hunter wanted her. He wanted her to come with him, but she had the children to look after in the orphanage and she could never leave them with Ms. Jezebel alone forever. She finally gets the chance to run. Her life changes completely when she does. She meets crazy new people, goes to a magical school along with other things going on in her life as well. She may ever figure out what love is. I have no credit for J.K Rowling's characters. Only mine, such as~Nikki, Hunter Haverdink, Jezebel Markete and others. I hope you enjoy. Any recommendations with be thought of and maybe added.

Stupid Orphanage

                                                                 Stupid Orphanage
                          Niki's P.O.V
"NIKI!  Simon is sick AGAIN!   Get your butt down here and clean it up.  While you coming down wake up the other kids!  NOW!" shouted Ms. Jezebel.
Arg!  I slide out of bed slowly.  This is the second time I have had to clean up after Simon. She will probably make me serve all the kids.  There is about 32 kids hear at the Orphanage.  Waking the kids up is hard sometimes.  The little, little ones cry and cry when you wake them up.
Mind you that I am only 11 years old.  I am the first oldest now.  It used to be second but the other boy ran away.  He was 11 also.  His name was Hunter.  Hunter was 2 days older than me.  They never found him, but I heard rumour that they almost caught him but by a landslide.  Hunter tried to get me to come with him.  He told me where he was going.  I told him that maybe next month I would meet him there.
That was this month.
I keep on thinking that I should just run out of the Orphanage now, but I would not make it.  I need some food and money.  I also need to talk to the second oldest of the Orphanage.  They need to know what to do when I leave.
"NIKI!  DID YOU HEAR ME!?" yelled Ms. Jezebel, "COME AND CLEAN UP!"
"Yes Ma'am." I shout back as I descend down the stair and in to the kitchen to make breakfast for the kids.  Mostly what we eat is a small cup of milk or water and a piece of bread sometimes with butter or once and a while with cheese.  Maybe today or tomorrow I can get more cheese or maybe I should make some.  Hmm...I will buy some.  Making cheese is very time consuming.  I have to clean the Orphanage and that takes a long time when there is 24 little kids running around making more and more messes.  Then there is the little, little kids that need to be taken care of.
BANG!  BANG!  That doesn't sound good.  I better act busy.  When something goes wrong here Ms. Jezebel blames me cause well I am the oldest and the only one she can hit.  Sometimes she hits really weakly, but every once and a while she hits me really hard.  I never make it look like it hurt me.  I did once and she just smiled and laugh.  I am go in to feel bad about leaving here, but Hunter was right.  This place is like a jail house.  Only worse.
"OUT!  ALL OF YOU RUNTS!  COME ON HURRY UP!" I can hear Ms. Jezebel.  Why is she yelling at the kids...OH NO!  I smack myself in the face mentality.  I forgot to wake up the kids!  Ms. Jezebel stomps down the stairs.  Man she looks ticked.
"YOU!  I thought I told you to wake up the runts!" Ms. Jezebel spat in my face furiously.
"Yes." I reply trying not to look at some of the kids crying.
"Then why where they asleep when I went up?!  Hmm!" she asked me.  I just shrugged.  "ANSWER ME!"
"I DON'T KNOW!" I yelled.
"Don't you yell at me!  You are about as pathetic as the other runts! I want you to go to the market today and take this to the post after you're done making breakfast for the others.  No breakfast for you.  Maybe next time you will think twice before you give cheek."  said Ms. Jezebel smiling.  I think she likes to yell at me and give me punishments just for entertainment sometimes.
My stomach growled.  I finish the children's breakfast.  I go and dish the food out then get to drinks.  Half the table get water the other half get milk.  I switch it everyday so it is fair.  Some of the boys and girls I had to separate from each other. They all have assigned seats.
First before I went to the market and the post I had to clean up the gross mess that Simon was in.  Poor kid.  I should really take him to a doctor.  I hate the smell of vomit.  We just used all of the clothes pins to hang to wash.  I grab the bucket and mop.  Ever read a fairy tale like Cinderella and wish your life was like that?  Don't ever wish that.  Cleaning up after 32 other kids and then having to clean up after yourself seems impossible sometimes and it hard labour, too.  I know that Cinderella had only 3 people to look after and had a happy ending but life is not like that.  Real life is hard and I try to get the little ones to remember that and once and a while pitch in.  They do sometimes.  Not always though.
